You know what hit me first about Costa Adeje? The view from these sea-facing apartments actually lives up to the name – and I mean that in the best way possible, because let’s be honest, half the places that promise “sea views” show you a sliver of blue between two concrete towers. But here on Calle Cataluña, you’re getting proper ocean vistas that stretch toward La Gomera on clear days. The building itself is nothing fancy – it’s that typical Canarian apartment block style with white walls and blue trim – but the location is honestly brilliant.

I’ll tell you what makes this place work: it’s tucked just far enough back from the main coastal madness that you can actually sleep at night, but close enough that you’re walking to Playa del Duque in maybe eight minutes. The apartments themselves are pretty straightforward – think functional rather than fancy, which at three stars is exactly what you’d expect. The kitchenettes are small but they’ve got everything you need (decent-sized fridge, proper stovetop, even a microwave that doesn’t take five minutes to heat up leftover pizza). The sea view rooms – and this is key – face southwest, so you get that gorgeous afternoon light streaming in, though it can get pretty warm in summer months. I’d suggest bringing a small fan if you’re visiting July through September, because while there’s air conditioning, it’s one of those older units that works… well, let’s say it works.

What really surprised me was how quiet the street is, considering you’re in the heart of Costa Adeje. Calle Cataluña isn’t one of those tourist thoroughfares where you hear people dragging suitcases at 2 AM – it’s more residential, with a few local cafés and that little supermarket on the corner that stays open late (perfect for grabbing wine and those Spanish olives that somehow taste better here than anywhere else). The building’s entrance is nothing special, but check-in was smooth and the woman at reception – I think her name was Carmen – actually knew the area well enough to recommend that fish restaurant down near the port that locals go to. Parking can be a bit tricky since it’s street parking only, but honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t need the car much. The buses run regularly to Los Cristianos and Playa de las Américas, and there’s something nice about walking down to the beach each morning past the bougainvillea that seems to grow everywhere around here. That 9.3 rating makes sense – it’s not luxury, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense.

  Great location, comfortable apartment, easy check in, highly recommended. The location was very good for Fanabe (10-15 mins walk) and Duche beaches which are 2 of the best beaches in the area. It is also very close to a lot of amenities, supermarkets etc. Even a cinema and shopping centre is only 5 mins walk away. The view was great from the balcony and separate large sun terrace above, both with comfy outdoor furniture and sun loungers. It was also very close to aqualand (about 15 mins walk) which is a great water park, especially if you have small children. I'd recommend Costa Adeje as an area over las Americanas and los Cristianos, it's a bit nicer.
  
  The decor is great and tasteful with a comfy living space with modern TV. Better IRL than in the pictures. The bathroom and kitchen were also very good with a large fridge freezer. They'd also thought of a lot of little details to make your stay easy. The area was also surprisingly very peaceful at night. You can enter and exit the complex from a gate at the bottom which saves a lot of time (the path is uneven from this entrance).

  Worth noting the main bedroom is twin beds that can be pushed together but they're very comfy.

  The apartment was perfectly clean, well-equipped (we loved the Nespresso coffee maker and the washing machine), and nicely furnished with an absolutely comfortable double bed. There is a huge terrace which is ideal for having breakfast.
  
  What could be improved: The beaches are not in walking distance, you have to take the bus or rent a car to get to the city centre. It's not easy to find a parking space near the apartment in the evenings.

  Bel appartement. 2 belles terrasses. Toutes les pièces sont agréables. Quartier très calme. Propriétaires sympathiques.
  
  What could be improved: Stationnement très compliqué, obligés de se garer sur le parking du supermarché à 800 m. Petit chemin de raccourci pour rejoindre la résidence mais très accidenté.
  Manque un grill pain.
  Très peu de vaisselle (3 petites cuillères) moins de vaisselle que sur les photos. Donc le lave vaisselle n’est pas utile.
  Pensez aux serviettes de plage car il n’y a qu'une petite et une grande serviette par personne.
  Un seul torchon à vaisselle.
  Seulement 2 rouleaux de papier toilette.
  Un petit minimum d'épicerie, quelquefois laissée pas les vacanciers précédents, serait bienvenu (sel, sucre, huile, vinaigre)
  Peut-être que les propriétaires vont tenir compte de mes petites remarques.
