You know what struck me first about Coral Bay Port Royale? It’s actually tucked away in this residential area of El Guincho that most tourists never see – I mean, you’re literally staying in an apartment building where real people live, which honestly gives you a much better feel for Tenerife than those massive resort complexes down the coast. The address might sound fancy with “Sierra Nevada 4,” but don’t expect mountain views – it’s more about being in this quiet neighborhood where you can hear actual Spanish conversations drifting from balconies instead of just poolside chatter in every language imaginable.
The place itself is solid three-star territory, nothing fancy but everything works. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward (no pushy timeshare presentations, thank god), and the apartment I stayed in had that lived-in comfort that makes you feel like you’re borrowing a friend’s place rather than staying in a sterile hotel room. The kitchen actually had proper pots and pans – not just the bare minimum you usually get – which came in handy since there’s this fantastic local market about a ten-minute walk away where you can grab fresh fish and produce. The Wi-Fi was decent enough for video calls, though it did get a bit spotty during what I’m guessing were peak hours when everyone in the building was streaming. One thing that surprised me was how quiet it gets at night, considering you’re essentially in a residential block – the Spanish families who live in the other apartments seem to respect the early evening calm, which is perfect if you’ve spent the day hiking in Teide National Park and need actual rest.
What really makes this place work is the location – El Guincho isn’t one of those picture-perfect tourist towns you see on Instagram, but that’s exactly why it’s great. You’re close enough to the action (about fifteen minutes to the main coastal attractions) but far enough away that you can pop into the local bar where the guys watching football won’t immediately switch to English when you walk in. The 7.8 rating feels about right, honestly – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. Parking can be a bit tricky during busy periods, so if you’re renting a car, just factor in a few extra minutes to find a spot on the street. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was planning to explore the island rather than just plant myself on a beach chair for a week.

I recently enjoyed a delightful 5-day stay at Port Royal Apartments in Tenerife. The location is spectacular, offering breathtaking views. The apartment was tastefully decorated, spacious, and impeccably clean. The staff is always ready to assist with a genuine smile. The on-site amenities include a tranquil pool area. Port Royal Apartments exceeded my expectations, providing the perfect blend of comfort and convenience. Highly recommended for a memorable Tenerife retreat!

What could be improved: For me personally, the disadvantage is the exit to the street, it was a bit embarrassing for me to use the terrace. The apartment was fantastic, clean and welcoming, beds were comfy and the shower was great, added bonuses with the tea and coffee. The check in instructions were super detailed and helpful. The kitchen had all the items you’d need and all very clean and well presented.We loved the sunny terrace and the pool the most. Short walk to the local supermarket, restaurants and the beach. Its a bit tough to walk uphill but we luckily rented a car so it wasnt an issue. Overall we had an amazing time and we would definitely recommend this apartment. Great value for money.

We loved our time in Coral Bay very much. The location is close enough to the beach, restaurants and amenities. The apartment has all you need to cook, and we enjoyed our dinners on the lovely terrace starring at the stars. It was priceless! Our other favourite was the pool area. It was sooooo relaxing!! We totally managed to wind down and forget about our work and problems. It was an amazing holiday and we'll definitely be back soon.

We had a great stay at Coral Bay. The location is great – short walk to the beach, supermarkets and restaurants. We also enjoyed the pool very much.The amenities in the kitchen were of very good quality and fully equipped, and the bedsheets, mattresses and towels were very clean.
The apartment was spacious and tastefully decorated. We noticed that both the bathroom and the kitchen have been recently renovated. We loved the bathroom the most, it made us feel like in a hotel. Bit of luxury 🙂

The studio was modern, very comfortable and clean. It was easy to find the keys in the locker- the instructions were very clear. The apartment was spacious with a comfortable bed and large terrace. The only thing to mention is that its on lower ground floor, but it didnt bother us. The host was very responsive and extremely helpful. She provided some useful guidance on what to see and where to go. We loved the Duque beach a lot!! The location was great, only 10mins walk to the beach. The pool area was amazing, we absolutely loved it! It was really quite and relaxing. Overall we had a great stay and would highly recommend this place in lovely Tenerife:)

What could be improved: Old and in the need of renovation, the room was under the level of the street, dirty and not well cleaned. The toilet seat was broken as well as the flush button. Shower full of calcare. We went out after one night of stay. Definitely not a 10

Die Wohnung ist sehr gemütlich und verfügt über die nötige Sachen. Das Bett war sehr komfortabel. Das Personal ist sehr reaktiv und versucht wenn möglich entgegen zu kommen.
Coole Pool und Aussicht!
What could be improved: Leider ist die Terrasse im Erdgeschoß und es gibt tagsüber nicht sehr viel Sonne.
Außerdem ist es toll eine Küche während der Urlaub zu haben (auch deswegen mieten wir Wohnungen) aber es fehlt oft die richtige Ausstattung zum Kochen, vor allem bei Pfannen und Topfen. Wir haben viel Zeit und Energie mit verbrannten Essen und dementsprechenden Waschen während der Urlaub gekämpft, was sehr schade ist, wir müssten viel Essen wegschmeißen.

What could be improved: El sofá cama no se puede dormir está más duro y te caías para el lado si te pones en un lado y dónde estaba que está en el pico de una montaña y para bajar subir andando todo los días hacia la playa…. Si tenéis coche no hay problema
