Comfortable apartment with amazing sea views

You know what really got me about this place on Calle Capirote? The sea views aren’t just “nice” – they’re the kind that make you stop mid-conversation and just stare. I mean, Palm-mar isn’t exactly a household name like Los Cristianos or Playa de las Américas, but honestly, that’s part of what makes staying here feel like you’ve discovered something special. It’s tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with cruise ship crowds, but close enough to the action that you can still grab dinner in Los Cristianos (maybe a 10-minute drive) when you want more options.

The apartment itself is exactly what you’d hope for – comfortable without trying too hard to impress. The kitchen actually has everything you need if you want to cook (I picked up some local tomatoes and cheese at the little market nearby, and there’s something about eating breakfast on that terrace while watching the Atlantic that just works). The bedroom gets these incredible morning views, though fair warning – if you’re sensitive to light, you might want to keep those curtains drawn unless you’re ready to wake up with the sun. The whole place feels lived-in rather than sterile, which I appreciate. There’s decent WiFi, parking isn’t a nightmare like it can be in some of these coastal spots, and the building itself is quiet – mostly seems to be other travelers who actually want to relax rather than party until 3 AM.

What really sets this apart is the location within Palm-mar itself. You’re walking distance to some surprisingly good restaurants (there’s this little place that does incredible fresh fish – locals seem to know about it), and the coastal path is right there when you need to walk off all that good food. The beach isn’t the wide sandy stretch you’ll find further north, but it’s got character, and the water’s clean. September through November is probably the sweet spot if you can swing it – still warm enough for swimming, but without the August crowds and heat. The 9.3 rating makes total sense once you’re there; it’s not trying to be a luxury resort, but it delivers exactly what it promises. Sometimes that’s worth more than all the fancy amenities in the world.

  Great value for money and nice area, lots of cheap priced restaurants nearby. 15 minute taxi to Los Cristianos (€17).

  Amazing apartment. Pictures and details are true to life. Would definitely recommend to anybody looking for quiet location. Enough bars and restaurants to keep you happy. PALM MAR is a lovely location. We took a trip over to Los cristianos for the day and could not wait to get back. Jessica was a pleasure to deal with and is on hand if any problems arise. Will definitely be rebooking for next year. X

  Lovely airy apartment, very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Beautiful large balcony where you can eat/relax with views of the sea and fabulous sunsets.
  The manager, Jessica, was easily contactable and very helpful. When we found the fan listed on the apartment description was missing, we contacted her and it was replaced on the same day.
  Air conditioning would have been very much appreciated.
  The large pool area is excellent. We bought a sun umbrella because it was very hot and we left it in the apartment for others to use.
  There are many restaurants and café bars close by. The beach is a 15 minute walk from the apartment.
  
  What could be improved: The 'Beachfront' description on Booking.com is misleading and incorrect and should be removed or changed to a more accurate description.
  The second bedroom is disappointing. It has a bed which takes up three quarters of the room. The only other furniture is a small wardrobe and a trunk.
  The toilet seat in the bathroom is loose and requires fixing.

  Pool facility and easy access to the beach.

  Die Wohnung war mit allem ausgestattet, was wir brauchen. Die Nähe zum kleinen Supermarkt hat uns gut gefallen, so gab es täglich frisches Baguette zum Frühstück und jederzeit konnten wir besorgen, was uns fehlte. Ganz viele Restaurants in der Umgebung machen es leicht, abends lecker essen zu gehen. Der Pool ist riesig, super gepflegt und ein Highlight für Kinder. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber, schön eingerichtet und dekoriert. Die Tiefgarage hat uns auch sehr gefallen, so war das Auto nie überhitzt, wenn wir zu Ausflügen aufgebrochen sind. Die Couch auf dem Balkon war unser liebstes Möbelstück.

  Verzorgd appartement met een GEWELDIG uitzicht op zee en La Gomera. Compacte, nette badkamer. 2 slaapkamers, een grote en een kleine, beiden met een tweepersoons bed (160 cm breed). Groot terras met tafel en drie stoelen en een grote bank met kussens. Wasmachine in een kast op het balkon. Keuken met waterkoker, oven, koelkast, diepvries en magnetron. Filterkoffiezetapparaat en een Dolce Guste koffiemachine. Overdekte prive parkeerplaats met hek. Lift vanuit de parkeergarage (-2) naar het appartement (+2).
  
  Groot gemeenschappelijk zwembad op 2 minuten lopen binnen het appartementencomplex. Palm-Mar heeft in dit jaargetijde (februari) veel 60+ gasten en weinig kinderen, dus veel rust aan het zwembad. Winkel met bijna alles op 50m afstand. Open 08.30-21.30.
  Het rots-strand was een kwartiertje lopen, maar zwemmen/in het water gaan is erg moeilijk. Er is een groot rustig zandstrand (zonder faciliteiten) tussen Los Abrigos en El Medano. (25 minuten rijden). De stranden van Los Christianos zijn een fractie dichterbij, maar heel druk.
  Restaurants op 5 minuten lopen. Tapas restaurant Flamingo (aan de hoofdstraat) erg aan te bevelen. Visrestaurant El Pescaito is goed, maar kan te lijden hebben onder drukte. Reserveren aanbevolen. Spaans restaurant La Lapa aan zee heeft het beste uitzicht van Palm-Mar en een goede keuken.
  
  What could be improved: Airco was lekker geweest 's-nachts. Relatief veel geluid van verkeer en de speeltuin tegenover het appartementengebouw overdag, maar 's-nachts erg rustig.
