You know what really surprised me about Chaparral Fantastic Apartment? The name doesn’t do it justice at all – I was expecting something touristy and over-the-top, but this place is actually one of those hidden gems that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special in Costa Del Silencio. The location on Avenida Jose Antonio Tavio puts you right in the sweet spot where you’re close enough to everything but far enough from the main tourist chaos that you can actually hear yourself think.

I mean, Costa Del Silencio literally translates to “Coast of Silence,” and they weren’t kidding around with that name. The apartment sits in this surprisingly peaceful pocket where the most exciting sound you’ll hear is probably the Atlantic waves doing their thing against the volcanic rocks below. The building itself has that understated Spanish charm – nothing flashy, just solid and well-maintained with those wide balconies that actually make sense in this climate. What really got me was the attention to detail inside; these aren’t your typical rental apartment furnishings that look like they were picked up at a clearance sale. Someone clearly spent time thinking about what travelers actually need, from proper blackout curtains (trust me, the Canarian sun is no joke) to a kitchen that’s equipped for people who might want to make more than instant coffee.

The 9.5 rating honestly makes sense once you spend a few days here. It’s not trying to be the Ritz, but it nails everything it sets out to do. The whole area has this laid-back vibe that’s perfect if you want to experience Tenerife without feeling like you’re stuck in a resort bubble. You’re a short walk from some genuinely good local spots – there’s this little café down the street that does killer cortados, and the coastal path is right there when you need to stretch your legs or catch one of those sunsets that’ll make your Instagram followers insufferably jealous. Parking isn’t a nightmare like it can be in some parts of the island, which is honestly a bigger deal than you’d think until you’re circling blocks with rental car anxiety. The only minor thing I’d mention is that if you’re someone who needs to be in the thick of nightlife, you might find it a bit quiet – but honestly, that’s exactly why most people fall in love with staying here. It’s that rare find where you get the authentic local experience without sacrificing comfort.

  Nice, clean, quiet apartment. Parking places available and a Hyperdino right when you exit. There are also nearby restaurants, cafes.
