Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Céntrico y coqueto apartamento” listed, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But this little gem on San Juan street completely surprised me, and I mean that in the best way possible. The Marina building itself is one of those classic Puerto de la Cruz structures that actually has character, and being on the third floor (apartment 301) means you’re high enough to catch some decent views without feeling like you’re living in a tower.

What really gets me about this place is how the owner clearly gets what travelers actually need. You know what I love? It’s right in the thick of things without being smack in the middle of tourist chaos. San Juan street is basically perfectly positioned – you can walk to the old town center in maybe five minutes, but you’re not dealing with the constant foot traffic and street noise that comes with being directly on the main drag. The apartment itself has this cozy, lived-in feeling that’s way more comfortable than those sterile hotel rooms you usually get. I mean, when a place has a 9.1 rating, there’s usually a reason, and here it’s because someone actually thought about the details that matter.

The neighborhood around Edificio Marina is honestly one of my favorite parts of Puerto de la Cruz. You’ve got actual locals living nearby, so there are proper grocery stores and cafés that aren’t just tourist traps. Plus – and this is key if you’re planning to explore the island – parking isn’t the nightmare it is in other parts of town. I’ve stayed in places where you’re circling for twenty minutes just to find a spot, but this area actually has options. The whole setup just works, you know? You’re close enough to walk to Plaza del Charco for dinner, the black sand beaches are a quick stroll away, and if you want to hit up the Lago Martiánez pools, it’s right there. But honestly, what sold me on this place was coming back after a long day of hiking in Teide and actually feeling like I was coming home to somewhere comfortable, not just crashing in another generic rental. That’s probably why it punches way above its 3-star rating – sometimes the best places are the ones that feel real instead of polished.

  Me gustó mucho la ubicación, las ganas de ayudar de la anfitriona y lo bonita que es la ciudad.
  El apartamento para lo pequeño que es está muy aprovechado, dispone de todos los servicios que mas o menos necesitamos, contaba con una pequeña nevera, un microondas y bastante menaje.
  Me gustó que hubiera detergente y suavizante, porque puse una lavadora,
  Como punto base nos gustó mucho, ya que nos permitió movernos por toda la isla con mucha comidad
  
  What could be improved: Lo que menos me gustó, esto es muy personal, que las toallas fueran un poco ásperas, pero ojo, esto puede ser debido a la cal del agua, a que a lo mejor está cansada que la gente se las robe, etc. Para mí esto es un detalle muy, muy, muy, muy secundario.
  y esto es una crítica hacia la ciudad, costaba encontrar los cubos de la basura.

  Nos encantó la ubicación y lo bien aprovechado que está el espacio a pesar de ser un estudio pequeñito. Destacar la amabilidad de la propietaria y que no nos faltó de nada durante la estancia. ¡Volveremos!
