Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about Central & Beach Los Cristianos? The name actually undersells it. I mean, sure, it’s got that typical apartment-hotel vibe from the outside – nothing too flashy on Calle Amalia Alayon – but honestly, the location is pretty much perfect if you’re trying to do Los Cristianos properly. You’re literally a two-minute walk from Playa de Los Cristianos, and I’m talking about the good part of the beach too, not some random corner where the locals wouldn’t be caught dead.

The thing about this place is that it sits right in that sweet spot where you get the apartment flexibility (which is huge if you’re staying more than a couple nights) but with actual hotel services that don’t make you feel like you’re roughing it. The building itself is on one of those quieter side streets, so you’re not dealing with the main strip chaos at night, but you can still hear the ocean if you really listen. What really sold me was how the staff – and I mean this genuinely – actually know the area. Not just the tourist trap stuff, but like where to catch the ferry to La Gomera without the crowds, or which little bar down near the harbor makes the best papas arrugadas. That kind of local intel you just can’t get from chain hotels.

The apartments themselves are honestly better than I expected from the photos. Everything’s clean and functional, with those tile floors that actually make sense in this climate (you’ll appreciate that when you’re tracking sand in from the beach). The kitchenettes are legit too – not just a mini-fridge and a prayer. I actually cooked a few meals, which saved me from eating tourist-priced paella every single night. The balconies… well, some have better views than others, but even the ones facing the street give you that authentic Canarian neighborhood feel. You’ll wake up to the sound of delivery trucks and locals heading to work, which I found oddly charming. The WiFi is solid, the air conditioning works (crucial in summer), and honestly, the whole place just feels well-maintained in a way that makes you relax instead of constantly worrying about what might be broken. With that 8.8 rating, they’re clearly doing something right, and after spending a week there, I totally get why people keep coming back.

  The apartment was comfortable and quirky and met our needs. It was in a perfect spot for us. We felt very at home here and the balcony was great to come back to after a day on the beach. Kitchen facilities were great although we did only do breakfast and baguettes for lunch. Bed comfortable.

  We were warmly welcomed, and they provided us with some details about the apartment. It is conveniently located just a short walk from the heart of the Los Cristianos neighborhood, making it very accessible. The apartment is well-equipped with everything you might need: beach towels, bath towels, kitchenware, basic condiments like salt, pepper, and oil, a television, and a lovely terrace. The apartment is on the fourth floor of a building with an elevator, and the terrace overlooks the street. The owner was incredibly kind, and I would highly recommend this place!
