You know what really hits you when you pull up to Casa Rural Finca Paraíso? The complete silence. I mean, you’re driving along the TF-51 toward Vilaflor – which honestly feels like you’re heading to the edge of the world – and suddenly there’s this gorgeous rural property sitting at kilometer 12 like it’s been waiting for you all along. The heated pool was the first thing that caught my eye, actually, because who expects to find a proper pool this high up in the mountains?

The location is sort of genius when you think about it. Vilaflor sits at about 1,400 meters above sea level, making it one of the highest towns in Spain, and Casa Rural Finca Paraíso takes full advantage of that elevation. The air up here is incredibly crisp – you can actually feel the difference in your lungs – and the views stretch forever across the pine forests toward Teide. What I love is that you’re genuinely away from everything (the nearest neighbor feels miles away), but you’re still only about a 45-minute drive down to the coast if you need your beach fix. The owners clearly know what they’re doing because the place feels thoughtfully designed rather than just thrown together like some rural accommodations. That 9.9 rating makes perfect sense once you’re there – it’s the kind of place where someone clearly sweated the details, from the way the rooms are positioned to catch the morning light to how they’ve landscaped around the pool area so it feels private even though you’re surrounded by open countryside.

Honestly, the heated pool is what makes this place special beyond just being a pretty mountain retreat. Most rural hotels up here skip the pool entirely because, well, it gets cold at night even in summer. But these folks invested in proper heating, which means you can actually use it year-round. There’s something almost surreal about floating in warm water while looking up at the Canary Island pines and, on clear days, the peak of Teide looming in the distance. The whole setup feels more like a friend’s private estate than a commercial hotel – parking is easy (gravel area right by the entrance), check-in was refreshingly personal, and the noise level is basically nonexistent except for the occasional bird or rustle of wind through the trees. I’d definitely recommend bringing layers because temperatures can drop 10-15 degrees once the sun goes down, but that’s part of the charm. It’s the kind of place where you remember why you wanted to get away from everything in the first place.

  We loved the beautiful views, lovely grounds and super swimming pool area. This was a great base to explore the higher mountain trails from as well as for peace and quiet to relax. Sergi and Felix are very kind and helpful hosts.

  Paradise Farm is very aptly named as it was just that! The house retains traditional features and furniture but is very comfortable with modern touches such as excellent wifi. The outside spaces are incredible with beautiful views over the mountains and sea. The pool area is amazing and the photos don’t do it justice. We swam several times every day and the loungers etc are so comfortable. There is also great wifi by the pool so it’s perfect for just relaxing. Sergi and Felix were so welcoming even when we arrived late at night and are perfect hosts. the welcome gift of cold delicious wine and some breakfast essentials was extremely kind. We hope to return soon!

  Wir wurden ausgesprochen herzlich von den Hausbesitzern empfangen!
  Sergi & Felix haben uns alles gezeigt und die Beiden sind zu Recht stolz auf ihre Finca Paraiso; denn es ist wirklich ein kleines Paradies!
  Das Haus und die gesamte Anlage sind so ausgestattet und gepflegt, wie man es selbst auch machen würde!
  Man hat den Eindruck, dass die Hausbesitzer selbst dort wohnen würden; was aber nicht der Fall ist!
  Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und wir werden in 2026 auf alle Fälle wiederkommen – versprochen!

  Ob zum Entspannen am Pool oder zum Wandern im nahe gelegenen Naturschutzgebiet, die Finca Paraiso ist der perfekte Ort. Und in 20 Minuten Fahrt über kurvenreiche Bergstraßen ist man im Herzen von Los Cristianos oder Playa de las Americas mit all seinen Aktivitäten.

  Eine sehr schöne Finca in super Lage. Die Gastgeber Sergi und Felix waren sehr hilfsbereit und immer für uns da, haben Vorschläge und Empfehlungen zu Ausflugszielen und Restaurants gegeben oder unsere Nachfragen immer sofort beantwortet.
  Der beheizte Pool macht es möglich auch noch abends unter Sternen oder wenn die Finca in Wolken gehüllt ist baden zu gehen.

  Incroyable séjour, les hôtes étaient accueillants et serviables, l’emplacement est vraiment incroyable aucun voisin aux alentours, villa énorme rien que pour soi, je vous recommande à 100% cette maison !
  
  À 20 minutes de la ville principale, la piscine chauffée est superbe avec des étoiles à la pelle, la villa est au dessus des nuages donc le ciel est dégagé pour apercevoir la Voie lactée !
  
  Les hôtes nous ont conseillés pleins de choses à faire et étaient disponible à chaque question qu’on avais durant le séjour !

  Ya son varias las veces que hemos ido y es imposible dar detalles porque absolutamente todo es perfecto. El alojamiento al que no le falta de nada, la ubicación y por supuesto los dueños, que son personas excepcionales. Lugar idílico para disfrutar de un merecido descanso.
