You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from Casa Petite Paradise when I first pulled up to Camino Toscana – honestly, the name sounds a bit cheesy, right? But this little 4-star gem in Tejina completely caught me off guard. It’s tucked away in this quiet residential area that most tourists never stumble across, about 15 minutes from La Laguna’s historic center. The thing is, Tejina feels like actual Tenerife – you’ll hear neighbors chatting in Spanish from their balconies, smell someone’s grandmother cooking papas arrugadas, and actually get a sense of what life is like here beyond the resort bubble.

The hotel itself has this warm, family-run vibe that’s getting harder to find these days. Check-in was refreshingly personal – the staff actually remembered my name the next morning, which I mean, seems small but makes such a difference. The rooms are what I’d call thoughtfully designed rather than flashy; clean lines, local touches, and honestly some of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in (and I travel a lot). What really got me was the attention to small details – proper blackout curtains for those early Atlantic sunrises, USB ports exactly where you need them, and a little balcony that catches the evening light perfectly. The whole place has this quiet confidence about it, like they know they’re doing something right without needing to shout about it.

Here’s what sold me though – the location is actually genius if you want to explore the real Tenerife. You’re a quick drive to the dramatic coastline at Punta del Hidalgo (seriously, go there for sunset), but you can also easily reach the Anaga Mountains for hiking. Plus, being in La Laguna municipality means you’re close to one of the island’s most beautiful historic towns – those cobblestone streets and colorful colonial buildings are absolutely worth the trip. The 9.1 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here; it’s not trying to be everything to everyone, but what it does, it does really well. Parking is easy (trust me, that matters in the Canaries), the neighborhood is safe and quiet at night, and you’ll actually sleep properly. I’d definitely come back – and I rarely say that about hotels.

  Loved the property and the whole interaction with everyone we got to meet! Anna is great! The outdoor kitchen/bbq area is so nice, with such amazing views – beautiful to wake up to it and watch the sunset colours. Having a cuppa in the sun around the pool in the morning was lovely. The sitting room was also a very cosy and spacious place to hang out. We all had a great time.

  Big house with spacious bedrooms, kitchen well equipped. Great view on the bay, sunsets and glimpse of the Teide on sunny days. We liked having our meals on the terrace every day.
  
  What could be improved: The house is much darker than expected.(Looking back at the pictures, all of them have the light on).
  
  When we booked we didn't realise we could actually be sharing the place (terrace, swimming pool and barbecue area) with another family as there is also a flat upstairs to rent. Luckily for us, it was only one night, unfortunately, their baby cried all night long!
  
  To finish we didn't appreciate much that the landlord came to the property a couple of time (without any notice) while we were away visiting the island. It feels weird to come back and have laundry hanging outside.

  Les photos sont conformes à la réalité ! C’est un endroit spacieux avec tout ce dont vous pouvez avoir besoin. Maison très bien équipée ! La vue est magnifique, la terrasse comme la cuisine extérieure sont parfaits pour en profiter ! Notre hôtesse était également très accueillante et toujours prête à aider.

  Eine sehr schöne, große und komfortable Unterkunft. Da der Pool einen Zaun hat, konnten wir auch mit Kind im Aussenbereich entspannen. Das Haus ist super ausgestattet. Es gibt genügend Handtücher, Geschirr, etc. Wir würden wieder kommen!
  
  What could be improved: Kein Nachteil, nur eine Info: Den Pool teilt man sich mit einer Wohnung oben. Zudem liegt die Wohnung an einem steilen Hang (deshalb auch der schöne Ausblick ;-)). Und man zahlt eine Kaution. Für uns war das alles kein Problem.

  La casa esta muy bien ubicada con unas vistas inmejorables! La piscina climatizada con una muy buena temperatura y muy bien adosada te brinda mucha relajación! La zona de la barbacoa tambien muy bien adosada y al lado del pequeño jardin te ofrece tambien tardes divertidas! Era todo muy limpio, la casa muy bien equipada con todo lo que te hace falta para sentirte en tu casa y de apreciar que la zona es muy tranquila! Lo pasemos genial! Muchas gracias Anna!

  Nos encantó el recibimiento de la Sra ana, la limpieza y lo acogedora que es la casa . La ubicación de la casa es ideal pues está cerca de servicios, aeropuerto y sitios de interés . La recomiendo con los ojos cerrados y más .

  Era todo perfecto, espacioso, bien equipada, unas vistas fantásticas, parking privado, terraza estupenda, piscina privada, terraza cubierta y descubierta, y no faltaba detalle por toda la casa.
  Destacar los detalles en la habitación, toallas, tanto para el baño como para la piscina, albornoz, sales de baño etc.
  Estaba mejor equipada de lo que esperaba.
  Ana una anfitriona perfecta. Nos ayudó todo lo que podía.
  
  What could be improved: Todo nos gustó. Por decir algo la pendiente para acceder a la villa que con un buen coche no es problema.
  Luego se agradecen las vistas y el paisaje que se ve. Wifi perfecto.
