You know what struck me first about Casa Pablo III? The name actually makes sense once you’re there – it really does feel tranquilo, like genuinely peaceful in a way that most places just pretend to be. I mean, you’re literally five minutes from Puerto de la Cruz (and I timed it, so that’s not hotel marketing math), but somehow you feel completely removed from all the tourist chaos down by the waterfront.

The location on Calle Teneguía is honestly perfect if you know anything about this part of Tenerife. You’re up in Urbanización La Palmita, which sounds fancy but is actually just this quiet residential area where locals live – not the usual hotel strip situation. I loved that I could walk down to the port area whenever I wanted the restaurants and nightlife, but then retreat back up to this peaceful bubble. The walk back up is a bit of a climb, I’ll be honest, but nothing too crazy if you’re reasonably fit. There’s also decent parking if you’ve got a rental car, which isn’t always guaranteed around here.

What really won me over was how the place feels more like staying at someone’s well-appointed home than a typical hotel. The whole setup has this relaxed, family-run vibe – you can tell someone actually cares about the details rather than just checking boxes. The common areas have that lived-in comfort that you can’t fake, and honestly, with a 9.4 rating, I was expecting maybe some over-the-top luxury thing, but this is better. It’s just… thoughtful, I guess? Like, the kind of place where you actually want to hang out rather than just crash for the night. I spent way more time than usual just sitting around the property, which isn’t normally my style. The sound of the ocean is always there in the background – not overwhelming, just this constant gentle reminder that you’re somewhere special. And the views toward the coast? Well, let’s just say I understood why someone built a hotel here in the first place. It’s the kind of spot where you find yourself taking pictures of the sunset every single night, even though you know they’ll all look basically the same.

  The owner sent amazing recommendations going above & beyond. The location was great & such a cute area! The balcony was nice & we got to wash all of our laundry. Ac was fantastic and the WiFi was fast reliable. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

  Apartamento muy moderno y muy bien cuidado. Está ubicado en una zona tranquila, sin ruidos. Bonito detalle de Pablo que había dejado una botella de agua en la nevera y unas cervecitas. Fue muy amable en todo momento enviándonos recomendaciones de restaurantes, supermercados y sitios para visitar. Muy recomendable.
