The location is actually perfect if you know Tenerife at all. You’re technically in Los Realejos, which most tourists blow right past on their way to Puerto de la Cruz, but that’s exactly why it works. Calle Teneguía is this quiet residential street where you can actually hear yourself think, yet you’re literally five minutes from all the action in Puerto – and I mean walking five minutes, not some inflated hotel marketing five minutes. The apartment itself has this lived-in comfort that you just don’t get in those sterile hotel chains. Everything feels thoughtfully chosen rather than bulk-ordered from some hospitality catalog, you know? The morning light comes in just right, and there’s something about the way it’s set up that makes you want to linger over coffee instead of rushing out to tick off tourist boxes.

What really sold me on the place was how it strikes that balance between being peaceful and being connected. You can walk down to the old town of Puerto de la Cruz for dinner – past the locals’ bars that smell like garlic and wine – then come back up to your quiet street where the only sounds are maybe some distant conversations in Spanish and the occasional car. The whole area has this authentic Canarian feel that’s getting harder to find, especially somewhere that’s still close to the coast. I mean, you’re not directly on the water, but you can smell the salt air, and the quick walk down gives you time to build up an appetite or work off that extra tapas course.
