Casa Pablo is honestly one of those places that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled onto something special – and I mean that in the best way possible. The name’s a bit of a mouthful (Casa Pablo I Aptº Tranquilo, a cinco minutos del Puerto de la Cruz), but don’t let that intimidate you. It’s tucked away in this quiet residential area called La Palmita, which is actually perfect because you get that authentic Canarian neighborhood vibe without the tourist chaos. The building itself sits on Calle Teneguía, and honestly, the first time I visited, I almost drove right past it because it blends in so naturally with the local architecture – white walls, simple lines, nothing flashy.

What really got me was how Pablo (yes, there’s actually a Pablo, and he’s genuinely lovely) has managed to create this oasis of calm just minutes from Puerto de la Cruz. You know how some places claim to be “tranquilo” but then you’re stuck listening to construction noise at 7 AM? Not here. The mornings are properly quiet – I mean, you’ll hear the occasional neighbor starting their car or maybe some birds, but it’s that good kind of ambient sound that makes you want to linger over your coffee on the little terrace. The apartment itself is surprisingly spacious for a 3-star place, with this lived-in comfort that feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a rental. The kitchen actually has everything you need (I’m talking proper knives, not those sad butter knives most places give you), and there’s this lovely natural light that streams in during the afternoon.

The real magic happens when you venture out, though. Five minutes to Puerto de la Cruz isn’t just marketing speak – I’ve timed it, and it’s genuinely a quick walk down the hill to all the action. You can hit Playa Jardín for your morning swim, grab fresh fish at the market, then retreat back to your peaceful corner when the cruise ship crowds descend in the afternoon. The locals in La Palmita have been nothing but friendly – there’s this little café about two blocks away where they make the best cortado I’ve had on the island, and the woman who runs it always remembers how you like your coffee. Parking can be a bit tight on the street sometimes (welcome to the Canary Islands), but there’s usually a spot within a block or two. The 9.2 rating makes total sense when you experience the combination of Pablo’s genuine hospitality, the apartment’s comfort, and that perfect balance of tranquility and accessibility. It’s not luxury – the towels are perfectly fine but not plush, and the Wi-Fi occasionally hiccups – but it’s exactly what you want when you’re looking for an authentic Tenerife experience without the resort markup.

  it's a spacious apartment with separate leaving room, kitchen and bedroom. The apartment was very neat, bed was comfortable. The locations was great.
  
  What could be improved: There are no windows outside. However there is a windows to the building and then in the building there is a windows outside, so it's possible to do ventilation, but then you loose privacy.

  The location was really lovely right next to the coast and shops and bus stops. The apartment was very well kept and easy to stay in. Comfortable and easy to cook our own food too. Pablo was very helpful in the tips he gave us and kind welcoming messages he left us. Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to meet.

  Nagyon jó helyen van a szállás, csendes kis utca inkább helyiek lakta környéken. Parkolót az utcán mindig lehetett találni es ingyenes a parkolás. Kilépve a bejárati ajtón az óceán tárul élénk. Tiszta, rendezett jól felszerelt apartman.
