Hotel Description

Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of boutique hotels, but casa mo Tenerife actually surprised me – and honestly, that’s saying something when you’re dealing with a place that has a 9.7 rating (which, let’s be real, made me a bit skeptical at first). The thing is, it’s tucked away on this narrow street in Garachico’s old town, Calle Andrés Miranda Hernández, and you know what? You’ll probably walk past it twice before you find it because it blends into the historic buildings so perfectly. That’s actually part of its charm though – it doesn’t scream “tourist hotel” from the outside.

The moment you step inside, you get why people rave about this place. The design is… well, it’s sort of minimalist but warm at the same time, if that makes sense. Think volcanic stone meets modern comfort – very Canarian but not in that touristy way that makes you cringe. The staff genuinely knows the area too, which is refreshing. They told me about this tiny local restaurant just three minutes away where the locals actually eat (not the one all the guidebooks mention), and honestly, it ended up being one of my favorite meals on the island. The rooms are thoughtfully designed – good lighting for reading, proper hangers that don’t suck, and the beds are actually comfortable, not just Instagram-pretty.

What really sets casa mo apart is its location in Garachico itself. I mean, this town gets overlooked by most tourists who stick to the southern beaches, but it’s got this incredible volcanic pool area right by the ocean, and you can walk there from the hotel in about two minutes. The whole town has this authentic Canarian vibe – you’ll hear Spanish being spoken everywhere, not just English and German like in some parts of Tenerife. Parking can be a bit tricky (narrow streets, you know), but the hotel sorted that out quickly. The breakfast situation is solid too – local ingredients, nothing fancy, but you can tell they put thought into it rather than just throwing out the typical hotel buffet spread. Only minor thing I’d mention is that rooms facing the street can get a bit of noise in the early morning when the delivery trucks come through, but honestly, it’s not terrible and the town quiets down pretty early anyway. If you’re looking for somewhere that feels authentically Canarian but still gives you that boutique hotel experience, casa mo nails it – just don’t expect a resort with pools and entertainment programs, because that’s completely not what this is about.

  This place is just perfect! We moved here for the last 3 nights of our trip after spending 5 nights in Icod de los Vinos, and the change was remarkable. We were lucky with the weather and even managed to sunbathe in the garden. The property is spotless, and the owner is a really friendly man who speaks English. We absolutely loved everything about our stay here.

  The house is so beautiful and very, very well furnished with a good taste. It is so modern, cozy and stylish. The view is fantastic from the terrace. The area is super quiet. No neighbours, no streets, bar noises that could disturb you. Highly recommended for those who looking for a peaceful and quiet place.

  A great place to relax, a quiet and peaceful town, nice hosts. The house has everything for comfort and convenience, down to the smallest detail, which makes your stay much easier. It is important to remember that without your own car it will be difficult to get to the house. There is a washing machine, the kitchen has all the accessories, a heater and air conditioner, if it is cold. Comfortable bed, lots of pillows, perfect place

  The Casa Mo is really beautiful.. Nice atmosphere from the first minutes, terrasse with an amazing view on the ocean. The house is fully equipped with qualitative equipment, fully renovated. I must say, the oven was not in function when we were in, but not an issue for us, and the host told us it was about to be repaired.
  It is really like on the pictures, honestly you can go there without hesitation if you have a car, because you will need it if you want to visit the surroundings easily :)..
  A last word on the host, nice person who welcomed us and shared many valuable information about what to see in the area!
  We would definitely come back for a new trip in Tenerife.

  Exactly as on pictures. Very nice renovated little house. All you need is there. Lovely hosts who were very welcoming and gave a lot of recommendations.
  
  What could be improved: Not negative but just for information that you will need a car to get to any place, e.g shop, restaurant,… Garachico is very nice and around 15 mins drive.
