The elevator ride up to the fourth floor – honestly, it builds anticipation in this weird way because you’re climbing above the typical La Orotava street level, and then boom, you step into this surprisingly spacious apartment-style setup that feels way more generous than most hotel rooms. The location on Calle Júpiter is actually perfect if you want to experience real Canarian life without the tourist circus. I mean, you’re in the Opuntia neighborhood, which sounds fancy but is really just a quiet residential area where you’ll hear actual Spanish conversations from the balconies and smell someone’s grandmother cooking papas arrugadas around dinner time. The TOR group clearly knows what they’re doing here – this isn’t some cookie-cutter hotel room, it’s more like staying in a well-appointed local apartment that happens to have hotel-level service.

What really gets me is how they’ve managed to capture that authentic Orotava vibe while keeping everything modern and comfortable. The building itself blends right into the neighborhood (you might actually walk past it if you’re not paying attention), but inside it’s got all the little touches that make you feel settled rather than just passing through. The 8.3 rating makes total sense when you realize this place attracts people who want to explore the real Tenerife – you’re a quick walk from the historic center with those incredible wooden balconies everyone photographs, but you’re also positioned perfectly for heading up into the mountains or down to the coast. Parking can be a bit of an adventure in this part of town, just so you know, but that’s true anywhere in La Orotava’s older sections. The staff actually knows the area well enough to point you toward the less obvious hiking trails in the Teide area, and they’ll tell you which local bars serve the best local wine (hint: it’s not the ones with English menus).

Here’s the thing about Casa Milagros – it’s got that sweet spot balance where you feel like you’re living somewhere rather than just sleeping somewhere. The apartment-style layout means you can actually spread out, maybe grab some groceries from the local market and cook breakfast while planning your day. But you’ve also got the backup of proper hotel amenities when you need them. It’s honestly ideal for people who want to dig deeper into the Canary Islands beyond the resort experience. The four-star rating feels right – it’s polished and comfortable without being stuffy, and the location gives you access to both the cultural heart of La Orotava and easy connections to everywhere else you want to explore on the island. If you’re the type who likes to feel like a temporary local rather than a tourist, this place just works.

  3 bedroom flat with beautiful views to Teide and the ocean, 2 bathrooms, large kitchen with a dishwasher. It is very comfortable for families or larger groups. Staff is very friendly and reacts very quickly to all the messages. Friendly neighbors and nice, residential area, about 15 min walking to the historic center.
  
  What could be improved: The flat needs a bit more maintenance (one picture felt down from the wall to our heads, just when we were sleeping…) and cleaning (e.g. windows, glass screen in the shower). It would be nice to provide it with some basic stuff, like few dishwashers tablets, dish soap, kitchen paper, toilet paper (one roll is not enough for one-week stay:).

  It’s a solid place to stay for a longer period you have a well equipped kitchen which is great if you like cooking, you have a small balcony, high speed reliable internet and enough space for moving around. Washing room also fully available.
  
  What could be improved: It’s a bit run down, cracks in walls and thing coming off, equipment and furniture is very basic but does the job, nothing luxurious. Check-in was very painful after a long day of travel, needed to reach someone via the phone to buzz the door open, in the apartment there was no key for the main entrance even though they told us several times there would be one. They found a solution for the next day to prepare us a mobile buzzer via a link, which we relied on. One day the fuse went off while we were gone hiking the whole day, came home exhausted at 10pm and the buzzer didn’t work. Luckily someone came within 30 min to bring us physical keys to get inside. Also during the last 10 days of our stay water went off twice but also came back after an hour. It’s a solid apartment if you’re staying longer but also able to accept a couple hiccups. Also they charge you an extra 15€ per person not included in the booking despite the initial rent being super high and you having 3 equipped rooms available.

  Le confort de ce bel appartement spacieux et lumineux, les 2 salles de bains , la chambre parentale, le très bon équipement ( le lave vaisselle, le lave linge sont de vrais plus ) le tres bon rapport qualité – prix, la bonne localisation pour les visites, l'ascenseur, les places pour se garer.

  Gigantischer Ausblick auf das Orotavatal und bis zum Meer.
  10 Minuten zu Fuß zum großen Supermarkt und Busbahnhof.
  Sehr gut ausgestattet. Immer angenehme Raumtemperatur.
  Orotava ist ein sehr netter Ort. Auch ringsum gibt es zu Fuß viel zu entdecken: Guachinchen, Weingärten etc.
  
  What could be improved: Die Straße ist im Schlafzimmer auch bei geschlossenem Fenster noch leicht zu hören.
