Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places along Tenerife’s coast, and Casa Melo Melo just hits different. When you first pull up to 7 Calle Jesus Dominguez Grillo – and honestly, good luck pronouncing that street name – you might think you’ve got the wrong address because it doesn’t scream “hotel” from the outside. It’s tucked into this quiet residential area in Arona, which is actually perfect because you’re not dealing with the tourist chaos that plagues some of the bigger resort strips. The whole vibe feels more like you’re staying at a well-connected friend’s place who happens to have impeccable taste.

What really gets me about this place is how they’ve nailed the details that most hotels completely miss. The rooms – I mean, they’re not huge, but they’re designed by someone who actually understands how people live and move through a space. You know what I’m talking about? Enough outlets in the right places, proper lighting for reading, and thank god, blackout curtains that actually work. The beach access is the real kicker though. While everyone else is fighting for towel space at the main tourist beaches, you’re literally steps away from this stretch of sand that feels almost private. I spent most mornings there with my coffee before the day-trippers even figured out it existed.

The staff here – and I’m usually pretty cynical about this stuff – actually seem to give a damn. They’re not just going through the motions with that forced hospitality smile. I remember asking about hiking trails nearby, and instead of just handing me a generic brochure, the front desk guy spent ten minutes drawing me a map to these local spots that weren’t crawling with tour groups. That’s the kind of insider knowledge you can’t fake. The whole property has this relaxed energy where you can tell they’re not trying to be everything to everyone – they know exactly what they are, and they do it really well. Plus, with a 9.9 rating, clearly I’m not the only one who thinks they’ve figured something out that most places haven’t.

  I'd give 11 stars if I could. Antonio was incredibly responsive and helpful, he responded to all questions quickly. the flat was clean, spacious, and in a central location. Everything is well prepared and explained. Loads of local restaurants just downstairs, super convenient to explore the town. This is the best holiday flat we stayed at.

  very nicely presented apartment, good facilities, WiFi, shower etc. Location ideal, close to Las Vistas beach and plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Best meal all holiday at Akustito literally 5 metres from front door. Great host in Antonio who was helpful and arranged taxis.

  Central location, welcome presents, helpful host, cleanliness, recently renovated, washing machine, well equipped kitchen, 2 separate bedrooms plus living room, strong wifi, netflix on 2 tvs, no need to use key – codes, soundproof windows, ceiling fan, nice decor, close to beaches, felt like home.
