The tennis court was a pleasant surprise — it’s well-maintained and actually gets used, which tells you something about the quality. I spent a morning there and met a couple of other guests who’d been coming back for years. The restaurant serves solid local cuisine, though I’d recommend exploring some of the family-run places around the plaza too. The staff genuinely knows the area and can point you toward the best fishing spots or help arrange golf bookings without that pushy sales pitch you get at bigger hotels.

  House is in a great location in walking distance to bars, restaurants, supermarket etc and right on the beach. Alcala is a working town so and not just a resort. Its a large property, there were only two of us and loved all that space – it would be great for a family and had stair gates and buckets and spades. It was very well equipped, and the housekeeping team came daily which I found unusual for a self catering property. We loved having two terraces. Check in was easy.

  The Plaza was busy but not annoyingly so . Lots of local restaurants serving fresh seafood. A wonderful slice of Tenerife! Clean , safe and friendly, I would recommend to anyone. Special thanks to Kathy for helping me retrieve my lost wallet!

  This is the most beautiful house in Alcala, with views over the sea on one side, and the town square on the other. it has been newly restored and has a fabulous roof top terrace for lazy days, cold wine or beer in its fridge. Many bars and restaurants are within easy walking distance. Lovely walks along the sea shore on the doorstep, as are supermarkets. Cleaning staff very pleasant and helpful and in to tidy up often.
