You know what surprised me about Casa Margarita? It’s tucked away on this quiet residential street in Costa Adeje, but you’re actually just a few minutes from all the action without dealing with the chaos of the main tourist strips. I mean, Calle Baleares isn’t exactly the most glamorous address you’ll ever see, but that’s sort of the point – it feels like you’ve stumbled onto something the package tour crowds haven’t discovered yet.

The thing is, this place punches way above its weight for a 3-star hotel. Honestly, I’ve stayed at fancier places with half the charm. The owners (and yeah, it really does feel family-run) have this knack for the little details that actually matter. Like, the rooms aren’t huge, but they’re thoughtfully laid out – you’ve got proper storage space, the shower pressure is fantastic, and the beds are surprisingly comfortable. Plus, most rooms have these little terraces where you can sit with your morning coffee and watch the neighborhood wake up. There’s something really satisfying about that, especially when you can see glimpses of the ocean between the buildings.

What really won me over was the location situation. You’re about a 10-minute walk down to Playa del Duque – and it’s a proper walk, not some brutal uphill slog back to your room after a day at the beach. The Balcón del Atlántico area is well… it’s residential but in a good way. There’s a little supermarket around the corner that the locals use, and you’ll find yourself grabbing fresh bread and jamón there instead of paying hotel prices. The neighborhood gets pretty quiet after 9 PM, which is perfect if you’re not looking to party every night but still want easy access to the restaurants and bars down toward the coast. Actually, some of the best meals I had were at these tiny family places within walking distance – the kind of spots where the menu isn’t translated and the owner’s grandmother is still making the sauce. Casa Margarita’s staff will point you toward these gems if you ask, which tells you something about how they think about hospitality. They want you to experience the real Tenerife, not just the resort version of it.

  Outstanding quality, modern, great views! All furniture, kitchen, beds, cupboards brandnew and of a high standard. The best appartment we ever had in fact! 2 bathrooms beautifully executed. Washinmachine and dishwasher in app.
