Casa Magali Overview
First Impressions
Casa Magali sits on a quiet street in Tacoronte that honestly feels worlds away from the tourist chaos you’ll find elsewhere on Tenerife. The moment you pull up, there’s this immediate sense of calm — maybe it’s the traditional Canarian architecture or just the fact that you’re not fighting for parking space like everywhere else on the island. This four-star boutique property has that rare quality where everything feels intentional, from the restored colonial details to the way the building seems to blend seamlessly into the neighborhood’s authentic character.
Location & Neighborhood
Tacoronte is one of those places that locals know about but tourists often miss, and that’s exactly what makes staying here so special. You’re positioned perfectly between the northern coast and the island’s wine country — I mean, you can actually walk to some excellent local bodegas if you’re into that sort of thing. The location gets a 9.6 rating from guests for good reason: you’re close enough to Santa Cruz and La Laguna for day trips, but far enough away to experience the real Tenerife. Couples particularly love it here, and I can see why — there’s something romantic about having your own little corner of the island without the cruise ship crowds.
The Property Experience
What strikes you about Casa Magali is how they’ve managed to create something that feels both refined and genuinely welcoming. The restored building maintains its historical charm while offering all the modern comforts you’d expect from an upscale property. The free private parking is honestly a godsend — anyone who’s tried to park in Canarian town centers will appreciate this more than they initially realize. The attention to detail throughout the property shows in small ways, like the quality of the linens and the thoughtful room layouts that actually make sense for how people travel today.
Rooms & Comfort
The accommodations here strike that perfect balance between character and comfort that’s surprisingly hard to find. You’ll notice the rooms feel spacious and well-designed, with traditional elements that remind you where you are without feeling like a theme park version of Canarian style. The bathrooms are modern and well-appointed, and honestly, after a day of exploring the island’s hiking trails or wine routes, you’ll appreciate having a proper space to unwind. The beds are genuinely comfortable — not just hotel-marketing comfortable — and the rooms stay cool even during Tenerife’s warmer months.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.9 guest rating isn’t just a fluke — it reflects what happens when a property gets the fundamentals right while offering something genuinely special. Casa Magali gives you access to authentic Tenerife without sacrificing comfort or convenience. You’re staying in a real neighborhood where locals actually live and work, but you’re not roughing it or dealing with language barriers at every turn. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something rather than just booked another hotel room, and that feeling is worth quite a lot when you’re trying to make the most of your time on this beautiful island.
Tenerife’s hotels showcase the perfect blend of Spanish hospitality and island charm, with many featuring oceanfront terraces and authentic Canarian cultural experiences overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

Giedre from Lithuania (10/10)
The house is very well equipped for a short and long stay, especially for those, who want to cook and not eat out (things like tea, oil, salt were in the kitchen), it also has a washing machine with detergent. It is very convenient, when traveling!
Wifi is also good.Phil from Spain (10/10)
Our dogs loved the garden. We liked the well equipped kitchen and the big TV.

Located next to the church in the center of the town. We loved the courtyard. Kitchen well-equipped, two bathrooms, two bedrooms (one with bunk beds which the children loved). Overall we had a lovely stay!

Our stay in this house was wonderful. A beautiful, perfectly clean, spacious house with everything we needed, a bottle of water, wine and milk was waiting for us in the fridge. There were also breakfast cereals, various cooking seasonings, coffee, and a wide selection of teas. There is a beautiful garden adjacent to the house, the garden has an incredible collection of succulents that you can look at for hours. In the mornings we drank coffee in the garden, and in the evenings we had dinner in the dining room admiring the garden. If someone is traveling without a car, there is a bus stop nearby. There is also a church near the house, I recommend checking it out, it’s very beautiful. The hosts are incredibly hospitable, thanks to them for a perfect stay on the island.

Nice and very clean house. Marvellous location right on the lower town square. Everything available even snacks and bathroom amenities.
Sweet little atrium with flowers and a mandarin tree. Easy to park a car just on the other side of the church.
Bakery and supermarkets 15 min on foot and lots of restaurants around the corner.
Beach in Mesa del Mar. Also easy to reach by car in about 10 mins.
Magali is very friendly and helpful with tips for restaurants and everything else.
Highly recommended!Viktória from Hungary (9/10)
The facilities of accommodation were excellent. The garden was nice. There were toys for my children. The laundry room was very useful.

What an amazing experience. The house is spacious, we found there everything we needed for our stay. Everything was perfectly cleaned, prepared. The house is situated in a quiet area of Tacoronte, in a historic small square. If you are not looking for the hustle and bustle of the tourist centers like we were, this is a perfect choice. A great extra is the beautiful small garden with seating area and also the possibility to park in the entrance of the house. The lady owner was very friendly and helpful. We really have nothing to complain about and would be very happy to come again.
Muchas gracias por una semana maravillosa en Casa Magali!Andreea from Romania (10/10)
We are extremely grateful to Magali and Juan Carlos for their patience and also for their dedication while renovating/preparing the house to welcome guests.
Everything inside the house is modern and we also appreciated the impeccable cleanliness of the place. The house smells clean and there is not high humidity like in other accommodations that we had on the island. There is a lot of natural light in all of the rooms.
We had found everything that we needed inside the house, it would have been suitable for a longer stay as well. The kitchen is equipped with everything that you would have at home and the bathroom has everything that you might need. Water pressure is also good and you can have really hot water.
The house is situated in a really nice area of the city and of Tenerife. It has a covered garage from which it's really easy to carry your luggage and groceries into the house.
The garden was the best part for me as I am a plant enthusiast: it has a collection of probably 50-100 (or more) succulents, a mandarin tree and also other plants. It is the perfect place to have coffee or breakfast and just enjoy the sight of them. Because of my interest, Magali has invited me to show me their even bigger collection of succulents in another place, which honestly was the highlight of my trip. I have never seen such variety, it was better than many botanical gardens that I have been to. They also took their time to explain a lot of things to me and also point out highlights.
I will forever be grateful to Magali and her husband and I wish them all the best!
