The name actually makes sense once you’re inside – this place genuinely floods with natural light, especially in the mornings when the sun hits those big windows just right. I mean, I’ve stayed in plenty of places that promise brightness and deliver a single sad window, but this apartamento on Calle Pérez Zamora really delivers. The location is honestly perfect if you want to be in the thick of Puerto de la Cruz without dealing with the madness of the main tourist strips. You’re literally a two-minute walk from Plaza del Charco (where all the action happens), but tucked away enough that you won’t hear drunk tourists stumbling around at 3 AM.

The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile rental – there’s this comfortable lived-in quality that I really appreciated. The kitchen is properly equipped, not just for show, which matters if you’re planning to grab fresh fish from the market near the port and actually cook it. Speaking of the port, you can walk there in about five minutes, and honestly, that’s where you’ll find the best seafood restaurants anyway, away from the tourist-heavy spots near the beach. The WiFi worked perfectly (crucial for me since I was working remotely), and the air conditioning was a godsend during those unexpectedly warm October days. One small thing – the building entrance can be a bit tricky to find at first since it’s not super obvious from the street, but once you figure it out, you’ll love how quiet and residential the block feels.

What really sets this place apart is how it connects you to the real Puerto de la Cruz. You’ll walk past the same local café every morning where the owner nods at you after day two, and you’re close enough to the weekly market to grab proper Canarian bananas and local cheese without it being a whole expedition. The 9.1 rating makes total sense when you consider the combination of space, location, and that intangible feeling of staying somewhere that actually cares about the details. Sure, it’s not a fancy hotel with a concierge, but if you’re the type of traveler who prefers exploring over lounging by a pool, this apartamento gives you the perfect base to discover why locals love this part of Tenerife so much.

  We loved everything about this Apartment. It was so spacious, nicely furnished, spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. The location has to be the best attraction as it is central to all your needs. Supermarket directly opposite, 2 minutes walk to beach front, shops cafes and restaurants. A definite recommendation to everyone looking for a lovely central location. Ann Lie is so welcoming and helpful…..many thanks for allowing us to stay in your beautiful apartment.

  Casa Luz was very spacious, very quiet, cool and calm and had absolutely everything we needed. Its large and spacious and we imagine would remain cool in the summer even without air conditioning. It was useful and appreciated that many basics were there, like salt, pepper, oil, kitchen roll, ice, wine and water! etc etc even picnic plates, cups, cutlery. Anne -Lie was incredibly attentive and helpful and accessing the apartment and leaving was very straightforward. We'd definitely return.
  
  What could be improved: Maybe there should be a couple chairs and small table on the balcony as it was really lovely out there. Waterproof bed protectors noisy and uncomfortable but which can be removed if not needed.

  We were pleased with the warm welcome and information we were given at the start. The flat was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a week long stay. Although you have to climb a spiral staircase to reach the second bedroom( and bathroom), it is delightful up there. And we thought the location was just perfect, very central and close to the sea, with lots of walking and a choice of great dining options nearby.

  Great communication from the host before and during our stay, nothing was too much trouble! We were met outside the apartment by the host on arrival, who helped with our case up the stairs and handed over the keys. The host was so lovely and gave us lots of handy information. The apartment is really well presented, it was exceptionally clean and is in a great location in the old part of Puerto, with shops, bars, cafes, supermarkets and a beach all within a couple of minutes walk.
  
  What could be improved: The beds are very low! The bed base in the single bedroom needs replacing – the bed is literally just a mattress on top of a solid wooden platform, it was uncomfortable and the mattress slid around/off easily! It would have been great to have had non-slip mats for the showers. Also, all noise (talking, washing machine, doors shutting, loo flushing, etc.) from the apartment above can be heard in the bedroom at the top of the spiral staircase, which prevented a good night's sleep.

  Отличное местоположение, парковка в двух шагах. Магазины, рестораны- все рядом! Общение с хозяйкой приятное и очень быстрое! В самой квартире есть все самое необходимое ( посуда, полотенца , фен и прочее ) достаточно чисто.
