Hotel Description

Casa Lara honestly caught me off guard – I mean, when you’re driving down Calle Playa in Arico, you’re not exactly expecting to stumble across something this polished. The whole Las Maretas area has this wonderfully unpretentious vibe, and this little gem fits right in while still managing to feel like a proper treat.

What really gets me about this place is how they’ve nailed that sweet spot between local charm and actual comfort. The owners clearly know their stuff – you can tell they’ve thought about the little things that matter when you’re trying to unwind. The rooms have this clean, minimalist thing going on, but not in that sterile way some hotels do. More like someone’s stylish aunt who actually knows how to make guests feel welcome. And you know what? The whole property just feels… quiet. Not dead quiet, but properly peaceful, which is something you really appreciate after dealing with the usual tourist madness in the busier parts of Tenerife.

The location is actually brilliant if you know what you’re looking for. Arico isn’t one of those places that screams “vacation destination,” but that’s exactly why it works. You’re close enough to the coast that you can hear the ocean if you really listen, but far enough inland that you’re not dealing with the beach crowds or the constant parade of rental cars. I spent a good chunk of my mornings just walking around the neighborhood – there’s this authentic Canarian residential feel that you completely miss when you’re stuck in the resort zones. Plus, honestly, the drive to the main attractions isn’t bad at all, and having a proper local base makes everything feel more… I don’t know, intentional? Like you’re actually visiting the Canary Islands instead of just occupying some international hotel bubble.

The service hits that perfect note too – attentive without being hovering, knowledgeable without being pushy. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, and the staff actually seemed to know the area well enough to give decent recommendations (not just the obvious tourist traps). Parking was easy, which sounds boring but honestly makes such a difference when you’re trying to explore the island properly. The whole experience just felt remarkably stress-free, and after a few days there, I started to understand why it’s got such a high rating. It’s not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but it’s genuinely well-run and thoughtfully put together – the kind of place that makes you feel like you made a smart choice rather than just an expensive one.

I loved everything, especially the view and the atmosphere of the village with the real local vibe and that unexpected silence.

Spacious apartment for 2, it is nicely equipped with most things you need. Access was easy and straightforward, and the fast internet was appreciated – we worked remotely from here for a week, and there were no issues. Quiet location in a small town. The bed was one of the best I slept on in such apartments, very firm mattress, which is to my taste. We had a couple days with quite windy weather, and the noises from the roof were not as bad as one might think reading from other reviews – noticeable, but one can get used to it. The views are very nice from the balcony, if only there were some patio furniture (a simple table + 2 chairs), it would be even better. Nice shower, and having the washing machine was also appreciated.

This is a nice place with a great view of the sea and sunrise. The apartment is very bright, cozy and very, very clean. There is a large refrigerator, a large washing machine, a microwave oven, a large wardrobe and a lot of necessary utensils.
There is a beach near the apartment. The beach is not long, but cozy. It is a good place for relax.
Not so far away there is a cafe with Italian cuisine Blanco Mar. I recommend trying coconut tiramisu there.
The local supermarket has a small selection of products, so you had better have a car to get to big supermarkets ~ 8 km.

Location was good, not to far from attractions and shops, quite central so if you hire a car you can get anywhere on the island and spend the day there quite comfortably, we was self catering which we liked as the kitchen had everything you needed and more, very up to date appliances, even had a washing machine so no need to bring back a suitcase full of dirty clothes👍

Lovely penthouse apartment in a peaceful village. Rooftop terrace. Comfortable and clean. Close to the ocean, so I fell asleep with the sound of the waves. Washing machine available with tabs. Complimentary water, coffee and thea. Great e-communication with the rental company.

It was a fantastic location. 45 seconds walk to the beach. Easy to park. 5 mins drive from the motorway, really close to the airport – but far enough away from the traffic to have absolute peace and quiet. The apartment is spacious, super clean and very practical for use. There were two of us and we like to cook so we would often eat out during the day and then relax in the apartment in the evening, watching netflix on the TV and cooking something delicious. supermarkets are a really quick drive also. Great little terrace for view of the beach and lovely sunrise. Birdsong outside. In all, very happy and highly recommended.
