You know what struck me first about Casa de Limon? It’s tucked away on this quiet stretch of Calle Adán Martín where you’d never expect to find such a gem. I mean, La Vega isn’t exactly where most tourists end up – it’s sort of this authentic slice of Tenerife that feels refreshingly removed from the resort madness down south. The hotel itself has this understated charm that grows on you. Nothing flashy, but everything just… works. The lobby smells faintly of citrus (obviously) and there’s this gorgeous tiled floor that’s probably been there for decades. Check-in was smooth – the staff actually remembered my name by day two, which honestly doesn’t happen much anymore.

What really sets this place apart is how it sits in the neighborhood. You’re walking distance from some incredible local spots that guidebooks barely mention. There’s this tiny café about three blocks down that serves the best cortado I’ve had outside of Madrid, and the evening light hits the volcanic landscape in ways that make you understand why people fall in love with the Canary Islands. The rooms are spacious – I had one facing the mountains and could hear absolutely nothing except occasional church bells in the distance. The beds are proper comfortable, not just hotel-decent, and the bathroom actually has water pressure that doesn’t make you want to cry. Little touches matter here too: they stock local honey at breakfast, the WiFi works everywhere (including by the pool), and somehow they’ve managed to keep that authentic Spanish hotel vibe without feeling dated.

I’ll be honest, it’s not perfect – the elevator is a bit temperamental and if you’re looking for a massive resort pool with swim-up bars, you’re in the wrong place. But that’s exactly why I’d go back. Casa de Limon feels like staying with sophisticated relatives who happen to live somewhere beautiful. The pool area is quiet enough to actually read a book, breakfast includes proper jamón instead of processed nonsense, and the concierge genuinely knows the island rather than just pushing tourist traps. Plus, if you’re planning to explore the real Tenerife – the hiking trails, the volcanic landscapes, the villages that still feel authentically Canarian – this location puts you right in the sweet spot. It’s maybe twenty minutes from the airport but feels like you’ve stepped into a different world entirely.

  The property is one of three on a beautiful plot on the hillside above La Laguna. The town is a steady fifteen minute walk down the hill so it's super convenient. It has private parking on site and is very secure.
  
  The plot is planted with lovely flowers, trees and lush lawns. There is a shared swimming pool (raised type) but sadly it was too chilly during out stay to dip in!
  
  The property it's self has all needed for our stay and comfortably accomdated two adults. Comfortable beds and the warm shower are fantastic with fresh linen throughout. Washing machine also was a great help to us so we could keep our cycling kit fresh.
  
  The staff are always available should you have questions and they made us feel very welcome.
  
  I'd definitely recommend staying here.
  
  What could be improved: There was nothing major to fault the property. The only tiny issue could be for those with mobilty needs, as the pathways are covered with local volcanic stones. This may present difficulties for pushchairs or wheelchairs. It did not present a problem for us though.
  
  Oh there is a minor leak on the kitchen sink. Again, a tiny issue that did not pose me with a problem.
  
  All in all it's a great place and the above points did not impact us.

  Prachtig domein (nog een beetje in aanbouw maar dat stoorde niet) met mooie tuin en aangenaam terras. Leuke decoratie. Vriendelijke en behulpzame ontvangst.
  
  What could be improved: Het was ‘s avonds en ‘s nachts redelijk koud in de woning. Gelukkig was er een verwarmingselement. Ondanks de recente bouw is de afwerking van het huis niet zo goed. Het zwembad is een opgezet zwembad (beetje misleidende foto).

  Вид из виллы был просто потрясающим: расположенная на горе, она открывала панорамный обзор на весь город, словно на ладони. Красота окружающих пейзажей оставила неизгладимое впечатление. Отдельная благодарность Оксане, сотруднице виллы, которая проявила высокий профессионализм и доброжелательность. Она не только помогла с арендой автомобиля, но и оказала поддержку в решении многих других вопросов, что сделало наше пребывание максимально комфортным.

  La vue est splendide! Le bungalow est presque neuf avec une belle terrasse. La cuisine est très bien équipée et la salle de bain propre et spacieuse.
  
  What could be improved: Il faisait un peu froid, nous n'avons pas eu de chance avec la météo… dommage qu'il n'y ai pas de chauffage permanent car les radiateurs d'appoints ne suffisent pas vraiment… Mais c'est très secondaire.

  Maison toute équipée, décorée et rénovée avec magnifique vue.
  A proximité de l’aéroport nord.
  Petites attentions de bienvenue dans le frigo.
  Plusieurs possibilités de couchages pour les enfants.
  
  What could be improved: La communication avec les propriétaires est très compliquée.
  Pas possible de parler anglais et très difficile d’échanger en espagnol.
  L’accueil fut très bref et nous n’avons pas pu avoir d’infos ni sur la maison et son fonctionnement ( parking, heures et modalités de départ) ni sur les points d’interêt autour du logement.
  Il faut également savoir que la maison est un peu ancrée dans la montagne, donc les plafonds sont bas et la maison est humide.

  Tiene una vista hermosa hacia el valle, el aeropuerto, los cerros.
  Zona silenciosa, puedes descansar tranquilamente y desconectarte de todo el caos de ciudad.
  
  What could be improved: El sitio tiene espacio suficiente para poder tener el coche aparcado al interior, pero no nos permitieron. El camino de afuera esta justo en el barranco y donde dejamos el coche es oscuro, podría ser peligroso para quienes transitan.
  
  El portón de peatones necesita mejoras para poder abrir, un par de veces nos quedamos atrapados por fuera teniendo las llaves en nuestro poder.
