Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places around the Canary Islands, and honestly, Canary Sun Apartment caught me off guard in the best way possible. It’s tucked away on Calle de José Miguel Galván Bello in San Miguel de Abona – which, let’s be real, sounds like a mouthful but it’s actually this quiet residential street that most tourists never stumble across. That’s kind of the point though. You’re about fifteen minutes from the madness of Los Cristianos, but you wake up to actual bird sounds instead of drunk British tourists singing at 3 AM.

The apartment itself feels like someone’s stylish cousin let you crash at their place for a few weeks. I mean, it’s got that 4-star polish without being stuffy about it – you know what I mean? The kitchen actually has everything you need (shocking, I know), and the living space doesn’t feel like they crammed furniture from a catalog into every corner. What really got me was the attention to small stuff… decent WiFi that doesn’t cut out every time someone in the building turns on a hair dryer, blackout curtains that actually work, and – this might sound weird – but the shower pressure is fantastic. You’d be surprised how many “luxury” places mess that up.

The location is honestly perfect if you’re the type who wants to experience Tenerife without feeling like you’re trapped in a resort bubble. There’s this little supermarket about a five-minute walk away where the locals shop, and the woman behind the counter started recognizing me by day three. San Miguel de Abona itself is one of those towns that feels authentically Canarian – not everything is designed around separating tourists from their euros, you know? You can walk to some incredible hiking trails that wind through the volcanic landscape, and when you want beach time, Playa de la Tejita is close enough but way less crowded than the main tourist beaches. Actually, that beach is where locals go, which tells you everything. The whole setup just works – you get the apartment space to spread out and live like a normal human being, but you’re still connected to everything that makes this part of the island special. Plus, parking isn’t a nightmare, which anyone who’s driven around the southern coast will appreciate.

  This apartment is absolutely beautiful. So modern, spacious, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you need for your stay. The host is so kind and helpful and they provided towels for the pool which was a thoughtful touch. We loved the balcony and used it every day – it feels private and you can enjoy music from the pool bar in the evening too. The apartment complex has a supermarket which was great to get everything you need for your stay. The staff at the pool bar and surrounding restaurants are very friendly. We found this apartment to be perfect for a relaxing week. You can’t fault it for such a good price!
  
  What could be improved: The apartment building itself is possibly being re constructed/ has been left vacant … but it’s not a problem you don’t need to go near this area. It did not bother us.

  The apartment is in a fantastic location and is well-equipped, with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. The owner is extremely polite, flexible, and always ready to assist in any situation. Highly recommended!

  The appartement was new, so everything was clean and have everything you need.
  
  The swimmingpool & facilities were good. Some good restaurants are on an 10 minute walk and others on 20 minutes.
  
  Busstop that can bring you all over the island is only 5 minute walk. So if you dont have a car, it is an easy way to travel!
  
  What could be improved: The only thing is the place is in golf der sur, only 15 minutes from the airport. So you'll see and hear the arrival of planes. However we didnt mind it, since after a while you"ll not notice it any more.

  Das Apartment ist wunderschön eingerichtet und das Bett sehr bequem. Es gibt einen Supermarkt und Restaurants direkt an der Anlage. Besonders ist uns der Gastgeber in Erinnerung geblieben. Er ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Badezimmer ist etwas klein, aber dafür ist an Ausstattung alles vorhanden, was man in einem Appartement benötigt. Der Poolbereich draußen ist gut für eine Abkühlung.
  
  What could be improved: Durch die Nähe zum Flughafen muss man mit einer gewissen Geräuschkulisse rechnen.
