You’re in Arona, so you’re close enough to the tourist action in Los Cristianos and Playa de las Américas without being right in the thick of those crowds that can get pretty intense, especially during peak season.

The hotel itself has this sort of understated vibe – it’s a solid 4-star property that doesn’t try too hard to impress you with flashy lobbies or over-the-top decorations. I mean, the check-in was smooth, staff spoke decent English mixed with Spanish, and the whole place just felt… well, professionally run without being stuffy. The rooms are actually bigger than you’d expect for this part of Tenerife, where space usually comes at a premium. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – the street isn’t a main thoroughfare, so you’re not dealing with late-night traffic or those tourist buses that seem to run until all hours in some areas. The air conditioning works properly too, which trust me, matters more than you think when you’re dealing with those warm Canarian summers.

Here’s the thing about this part of Arona – you’re positioned really well for exploring both the touristy bits and the more authentic local spots. There’s this little cluster of restaurants just a few blocks down that the hotel staff recommended, and they were right on the money. Nothing fancy, but the kind of places where locals actually eat. The hotel’s 8.2 rating feels about right to me – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it consistently delivers on what it promises. Parking was easier than expected (there’s street parking that isn’t impossible to find), and honestly, the whole experience just felt refreshingly straightforward. No hidden fees, no pushy upselling, just a decent place to stay while you explore this part of the island. If you’re looking for something that’s comfortable without the resort-style chaos, and you want to be near the coast without paying those beachfront prices, Calma & Mar delivers exactly what you’d hope for.

  Miły kameralny pokój z aneksem i łazienką, dobrze wyposażona kuchnia oraz obiekt po renowacji. Bezproblemowy kontakt z właścicielem, bardzo pomocny człowiek. Musicie się liczyć ze współlokatorem. Ten przemiły mały gekon dowiedział nas co wieczór. Bliskość lotniska nie jest uciążliwa pod względem hałasu

  Estaba muy bien ubicado, el apartamento estaba muy limpio y ordenado e incluía todo lo necesario.
  Muy cerca de una de las playas más bonitas que he visto (playa montaña amarilla). A 15minutos en coche del siam park.
  La entrada al piso muy fácil, llegamos al apartamento a la una de la madrugada y no tuvimos ningún problema para acceder a la vivienda.
  La piscina también muy cómoda y poco ruidosa, no había mucha gente.
  Recomendación para alquilar un coche para llegar.
