Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places along the Costa Adeje coastline, and this bungalow on Calle Madrid really surprised me. You know what I mean when I say most vacation rentals promise “stunning ocean views” and deliver a sliver of blue between two apartment blocks? Well, this actually delivers. The terrace faces southwest, so you’re getting those incredible Tenerife sunsets every single evening – and honestly, after a few days of watching the light hit the water while grilling something on that BBQ, you’ll understand why this place has such high ratings.

The private pool is what sold me initially, but it’s all the little details that made the stay memorable. The air conditioning works properly (which isn’t always a given in Canary Islands rentals), and there’s actually decent water pressure in the shower. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook – I mean, with the Mercadona just a few minutes’ walk away and the local fish market in Adeje town, you’d be crazy not to try making your own meals at least once. Plus, parking isn’t the nightmare it can be in some parts of Adeje. There’s space right outside, which is honestly a relief when you’re hauling groceries and beach gear around.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. Calle Madrid is residential enough that you’re not dealing with the party crowds from the tourist zones, but you’re still only about ten minutes from Playa del Duque if you want the fancy beach club scene. The bungalow itself feels more spacious than the photos suggest – there’s room to actually spread out and relax, not just collapse after a day of sightseeing. The pool area gets morning sun, which is perfect for coffee, then stays comfortable well into the evening. I spent way more time there than I planned, just reading and occasionally jumping in to cool off. The BBQ setup is legit too – proper gas grill, not some tiny camping thing. We did fish one night, local vegetables another, and it became this whole ritual. You know how vacation rentals sometimes feel like you’re living in someone else’s space? This felt more like borrowing a friend’s place, if that makes sense. Everything worked, everything was clean, and there weren’t any weird house rules or quirks to navigate around. It’s the kind of place where you actually unpack your suitcase instead of living out of it for a week.

  I chose this apartment as a place to work remotely for a few days and it was perfect. The WiFi was very fast and reliable and I really appreciated having air con. I cooked in the apartment most days and the kitchen was very well equipped with brand new and modern appliances, including a coffee machine. It was very useful to have new sponges, dish cloths and tea towels. The bathroom was large and clean and the towels provided were soft and high quality. It was nice that beach towels were provided so that you didn't get the bathroom towels dirty! The bedroom is a small mezzanine nook which is about half the height of a normal room but I liked it and thought it was cosy. The bed was comfortable with good quality linen and had bedside plug sockets and lights. The best part of the apartment is the balcony which was large and had sunshine from 11am onwards. The deck chairs were super comfortable and the private pool was well maintained. If you want a break from the sun, there is a large sun umbrella which provided a good amount of shade at any time of day. The location is quite residential so it is quiet which was ideal for working remotely. Overall, the apartment is very modern, well maintained and nicely decorated!
  
  What could be improved: The location might not be the ideal location if you want to be in the centre of the town near restaurants, bars and beaches but I liked how peaceful it was. There is a medium sized supermarket about 15 minute walk away. The only downside was that the apartment is located on a very steep street but this shouldn't be a problem if you have a car. People walking on the street might be able to see you on the balcony from a distance but I just used the sun umbrella for a bit of privacy.

  The owner met us promptly with the keys and offered any assistance if we needed it, as they were situated next door, they also allowed us early check in on the day, which was helpful. The place itself was very well equipped, clean, tidy and all items contained within were good quality; the outside area and pool were lovely with great views of the sea, would definitely stay again.
  
  What could be improved: The ceiling in the bedroom was a little lower than expected and appeared on the pictures, I'm 6ft and my partner 5ft 5, we both had to crouch to enter and exit the bedroom, and had a few bashed heads on occasion! The bed itself was very comfy, you just have to be mindful of getting in/out but we got used to it.

  Everything we could possibly need- was super private, quiet, beautiful view, clean, and had notably luxurious finish throughout- extra large shower, large bed, espresso machine, multi temperature kettle, corkscrew, super sharp knives, beautiful saucepans, spotless oven, bathroom and beach towels, giant comfy couch, even found 2 travel adaptors which we didn’t need but were a nice thought. The pool is small and very private- heating brought it to a good temp even in Feb, so we had a swim or 2 everyday. Gleb was friendly and helpful throughout. Location is off the beaten path and great to drive to anywhere- nearby roads are wide (other hilly spots in Tenerife can have very narrow roads).
  
  What could be improved: Not an issue since we hired a car, but be aware the property is up a very steep hill- you really wouldn’t want to walk to and from the beach unless you are extremely fit.

  El anfitrión muy amable.
  El apartamento muy limpio, muy cómodo, con todo lo que necesitas para pasar unos días. Tiene una barbacoa que para hacer la comida al solecito y darte un chapuzón en la piscina mirando al mar, una maravilla.
  Llegamos a Tenerife el 30 de diciembre y estuvimos en diferentes sitios de la isla dejando está estancia para la última semana..sin duda me hubiese quedado las tres semanas allí!

  Wir haben ein Apartment mit Meerblick und Pool für einen erholsamen Urlaub gesucht und hier gefunden. Ausstattung ist top und hochwertig. Küche ist super ausgestattet (Kaffeeautomat, Mikrowelle, Ofen, ausreichend Kochutensilien, Gasgrill usw.) Therasse nicht einsehbar. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants in Fußreichweite (max. 20 Min.) zu gehen.
  
  What could be improved: Lediglich bei der Lage gibt es einen Punkt Abzug, da es zu Fuß zu weit vom Strand entfernt ist (min. 30 Minuten). Aber das weis man bei der Buchung. Das Appartement liegt in einem ruhigen Wohngebiet, allerdings war die Musik in der nächstgelegenen Kneipe teilweise bis 2 Uhr Nachts sehr laut.

  Cicha spokojna okolica, świetna lokalizacja – 15 min pieszo do plaży, niedaleko kilka restauracji i mały sklepik. Apartament przepiękny, przestronny i wygodny, taras z basenem dający Ci prywatność. Wszystko bardzo dobrze wyposażone w to czego potrzebujesz – prawie jak w domu. Gospodarz Gleb był bardzo sympatyczny i pomocny 👍, łatwy kontakt oraz szybka odpowiedź/reakcja. Nic innego jak ”Miejsce do którego chcesz wrócić ❤️”. Bardzo polecamy 🙂. Paulina i Kamil.

  Modern, schoon appartement in relatief rustige wijk. Heerlijk zwembad(je) om af te koelen. Alles aanwezig in goed voorziene keuken. In ca. 25 minuten loop je naar het Fanabe strand.
