Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Bungalow Luna privada on Avenida Jose Antonio Tavio, I wasn’t expecting much. Costa Del Silencio isn’t exactly the flashiest part of Tenerife, you know? But that’s actually what makes this place work so well. It’s this private little bungalow tucked away in what feels like a residential neighborhood, and honestly, that’s its biggest strength. You’re not dealing with tourist crowds or bus loads of people – it’s just quiet. Like, genuinely quiet, which I guess makes sense given the area’s name.

The bungalow itself is surprisingly well put together for a 4-star place. I mean, you’ve got your own space, your own entrance, and the owners clearly know what they’re doing. The kitchen actually has everything you need if you want to cook (and trust me, you’ll want to hit up the local markets – there’s a decent one about ten minutes away). What really got me was the attention to small details – good water pressure, proper blackout curtains, and the WiFi actually works consistently, which… well, anyone who’s traveled around the Canary Islands knows that’s not always a given. The whole place feels like someone’s well-maintained second home rather than a sterile hotel room.

Here’s what you need to know about the location though – Costa Del Silencio is sort of between the main tourist areas, which means you’re about a 15-minute drive to the busier beaches and restaurants, but that also means you can actually find parking and the prices aren’t inflated. There’s a decent coastal walk right from the area that hardly anyone knows about, and if you’re into that sort of thing, the stargazing here is actually pretty incredible since you’re away from the main light pollution. The owners were super helpful with local recommendations too – they pointed me toward this little family-run restaurant that I never would have found otherwise. One thing though: you’ll definitely want a rental car if you’re staying here. It’s not walkable to much, but honestly, that’s part of the charm. You get that authentic residential feel without being stuck in the middle of nowhere. For the price point and the privacy you get, especially if you’re looking to actually relax rather than party, this place delivers way more than you’d expect.

  Very cute little house! Garden was lovely to relax in and it was excellent there was a BBQ to enjoy. Inside was beautifully decorated and comfortable. I loved the swimming pool!

  The communication was good. The bed was very comfortable. Quiet location.
  
  What could be improved: The door to the bathroom did not close, and this was a rather major problem for privacy. In addition, there is neither a window nor a vent in the bathroom, which is not hygienic.
  On two occasions we found a cockroach on the floor, as well as a very big spider in a corner. This can happen, of course, but special devices can be used against these insects, or better cleaning. There was dust and a discarded tissue under the bed.

  El apartamento estaba genial, tal cual lo ves en las fotos. Es muy moderno y acogedor. Con todo lo necesario para pasar unos días desconectado de todo, se respira tranquilidad. Además debo agradecer la acogida de nuestra mascota, son maravillosas personas. Muy limpio y organizado. Por nuestra parte tiene un 10!!!!

  El sitio está súper bien, es tranquilo y la casa es preciosa, la piscina está súper guay para niños y mayores y la localización está súper bien, ella es encantadora, repetiria sin duda!!!

  La ubicación, quedaba bastante cerca de todo lo que fuimos a visitar y la anfitriona fue muy amable, tuvieron un problema de fontanería antes de que llegáramos pero lo solucionaron rápido por lo que no tuvimos que esperar mucho. El parking privado es lo mejor cuando llegas tarde y no quieres estar buscando aparcamiento fuera.
  
  What could be improved: La limpieza, no estaba sucio pero se puede mejorar, el baño (pelos de los anteriores inquilinos) y el suelo fué lo que más sucio vi, no sé si es que no les dió tiempo por el problema que tuvieron de la fontanería y como solo nos quedamos una noche le dieron más prioridad a arreglar eso que a la limpieza, pero bueno, si mejoran eso contratando a alguien para limpiar sería un sitio de 10.
