You know what caught me off guard about Bright Studio by the sea? It actually lives up to its name – and honestly, that’s rarer than you’d think with these seaside places. I mean, I’ve stayed in plenty of “ocean view” spots where you need binoculars to spot water, but this little gem on Paseo las Americas really delivers. The light just pours into apartment 508, and from up there on the fifth floor, you get this gorgeous sweep of the Atlantic that changes color throughout the day.

The location is pretty sweet too – Icod de los Vinos isn’t your typical tourist trap, which I actually loved. It’s got this authentic Canarian vibe where you’ll hear more Spanish than English in the streets, and the famous thousand-year-old dragon tree is literally a ten-minute walk away (though honestly, everyone goes there, so hit it early morning if you want decent photos). What I really appreciated was how easy it was to grab groceries at the local Spar just down the street – because let’s face it, eating out every meal gets expensive fast, and having a proper kitchen setup made a huge difference. The studio’s got everything you need cooking-wise, plus the owner left some local wine recommendations that were spot-on.

Parking was surprisingly stress-free, which anyone who’s driven around these narrow Canarian streets will appreciate. There’s usually space nearby, and the building – Edificio Monis – is well-maintained without being stuffy. I loved how quiet it stayed at night too; you get the ocean sounds without the party noise you’d find in places like Playa de las Americas. The whole area feels lived-in rather than touristy, if that makes sense. You’ll see locals walking their dogs along the promenade in the evenings, and there’s this little café down the street where the owner remembers your order by day three. The WiFi actually worked properly (miracle!), and the shower pressure was decent – look, these things matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than a couple nights. With a 9.3 rating, it’s clearly doing something right, and after staying there, I get why people keep coming back.

  Amazing view! Supernice and clean apartment. We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay!
  We didn’t have a car but it was absolutely no problem because the bus stop is right next to the building and it is very easy to move around like that.

  Great location. It's facing the ocean and it's near the beach. It's close to a bus stop to Icod so if you are not travelling by car you can easily use public buses. The kitchen is fully equipped and we found there everything we needed. There's also a sun umbrella you can take to the beach.
  Special thanks to Javier, he is a great host. We really recommend Bright Studio.
  
  What could be improved: There's a pool in front of the building but it's out of order. But, we knew about that when making our reservation. We enjoyed our stay.

  The absolutely wonderful view from the balcony. The apartment is in a large complex, but you could barely see and not hear the neighbours. The apartment has been very thoughtfully furnished with basic necessities (pepper, cooking oil, clothes washing liquid for the washing machine etc.) and lots of useful maps and tourist information. The bed was incredibly comfortable and everything was very clean. The apartment is not in Icod but San Marcos (a bonus). There was ample parking at the front of the complex (in January, mid-week) with more nearby. It's also on a bus route into Icod.

  The apartment was very comfortable, clean and equipped with all you could need. The view from the balcony was amazing, if you're looking for a quiet place when you're traveling with a partner or a friend – the best place to stay. If you're an active person, this is a fantastic base for nearby hike routes!
