Hotel Description

Okay, so I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to this place on Calle Juan Sebastián El Cano – honestly, the name made it sound way fancier than I thought it would be. But here’s the thing about Radazul that most people don’t realize: it’s this little fishing village that’s somehow managed to stay pretty authentic despite being so close to Santa Cruz. The triplex sits right there facing the ocean, and I mean *right* there – you can literally hear the waves from the pool deck, which is actually kind of perfect background noise.

The whole setup is clever, really. Three levels means you get these different perspectives of the coastline, and the pool (which honestly saved my vacation during those crazy hot afternoons in July) sits on this terrace where you can watch the local fishermen heading out in the early morning. There’s something really satisfying about having coffee up there at like 6 AM, watching the boats dot the horizon while most of the world’s still asleep. The parking situation is a godsend too – anyone who’s driven around this part of Tenerife knows that finding a decent spot near the water is usually a nightmare, but here it’s just handled. No circling blocks or feeding meters every two hours.

What I really appreciated was how the place feels lived-in rather than sterile. The furniture’s comfortable enough that you’ll actually want to hang out inside during the midday heat, and the kitchen’s got everything you need if you want to cook some of that amazing fish from the little market down the street. You know what surprised me most? How quiet it gets at night. Radazul isn’t exactly a party destination – it’s more where locals go to escape the tourist crowds in Los Cristianos – so you get these peaceful evenings where the only sounds are the waves and maybe some conversation drifting up from the waterfront restaurants. The rating of 8.9 makes total sense once you spend a few days here; it’s not trying to be a luxury resort, but it nails what it’s actually going for. I mean, you’re essentially getting a whole house steps from a volcanic coastline, with views that change throughout the day as the light shifts across the Atlantic. The only thing I’d warn people about is that the beaches here are more dramatic than lounging-friendly – lots of black sand and rocky areas that are gorgeous but maybe not ideal if you’re expecting something like Playa de las Américas. But honestly, that’s part of the charm of staying somewhere that feels genuinely Canarian rather than built for tourists.

The location is really close to the sea, multiple beaches as well as the highway. This made it really easy to traverse the island of Tenerife as well as not feel isolated with having pharmacies, restaurants and grocery stores all within reach.

  • Paul from United Kingdom (8/10)

Very large triplex with plenty of light filled space. The sitting room leads into a very sunny terrace, there is a very well equipped kitchen. The Sun terrace in the roof is a bonus!
