Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest with you – when I first pulled up to B&B Paraiso Tenerife on Calle La Moncloa, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best surprises come in modest packaging, and this little gem in Los Abrigos actually won me over in ways I didn’t see coming.
The thing about Los Abrigos is that it’s not trying to be Costa Adeje or Playa de las Américas – it’s this genuine fishing village that somehow escaped the tourist machine, at least partly. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the harbor where actual fishermen still bring in their catch (I mean, the smell of salt and seaweed hits you the moment you step outside, which is either charming or overwhelming depending on your mood). The “super suite” part of the name isn’t just marketing fluff – the rooms are genuinely spacious, with these massive windows that let in all that Atlantic light. I spent way too much time just sitting by the window with my morning coffee, watching the locals head down to the boats. The décor is… well, let’s call it “enthusiastically Spanish” – lots of bright tiles and bold colors that could feel tacky but somehow work in this setting.
What really surprised me was how quiet it gets at night, considering you’re so close to the water and the main drag. The walls are thick enough that you won’t hear your neighbors (trust me, I had some lively Germans next door), and the beds are actually comfortable – not always a given in smaller B&Bs. The owner, Maria, runs the place like she’s hosting relatives, which means she’ll chat your ear off about the best tapas spots if you let her, but she also respects when you just want to grab your key and disappear. Parking is straightforward – there’s space right outside, no drama with narrow streets or hunting for spots like you get in some of the hillside towns. The 7.1 rating makes sense to me, honestly – it’s not luxury, and the WiFi can be spotty (especially if you’re trying to upload photos), but there’s something authentic about the whole experience. You’re staying in a real neighborhood where people actually live and work, not some resort bubble. The breakfast is simple but good – proper Spanish tomato bread, local cheese, decent coffee – and you can walk to some genuinely excellent seafood restaurants without dealing with tourist prices. If you’re looking for infinity pools and room service, this isn’t your spot, but if you want to experience Tenerife beyond the package tour circuit, B&B Paraiso gives you that local flavor without sacrificing comfort.

Very good – Gergő from Hungary – 26 April 2025 (8/10)
It was close to the airport. We got a nice breakfast.
Good for the price. – Joseph from United States – 29 January 2025 (8/10)
Location and price.
What could be improved: Size of shower stall, mattress a little thin but not bad.Decent value for self-catering – Jeffrey from United States – 12 January 2025 (7/10)
The room is very spacious and clean. A basic continental breakfast is provided. Wi-fi is good and the location within the city is good.
What could be improved: There is no onsite contact person so read your emails very carefully to get the door access code and the access code to the room key. This is not the place to stay if you are taking a flight out of Tenerife South as there are no convenient bus options to the airport and few, if any, taxis on the streets. Pre-book your airport transportation if staying here. Also, there is no possibility to store luggage if leaving later in the day, so the 1030 checkout time is early if you’d like to spend some additional time in Los AbrigosGreat value for money. – Hassan from United Kingdom – 18 December 2024 (8/10)
Booked the super suite which has 4 beds and private washroom as it was 4 of us. It is on the third floor so a few stairs to climb.
Nice clean room with all basic facilities. Breakfast was reasonable got cereal, juices, biscuits, tea.
Great value for money. Other people have complained about noise not an issue for us as we were on the top floor. Found checkin process to be straightforward once you have read there instructions.
What could be improved: Bedding can be improved, more pillows and some blankets or quilts can be provided as only had the one sheet to take on which felt inadequate. Kitchen is locked at night so no tea station to make tea etc in the property once the kitchen is locked.Nice value for the money that we paid – Giorgia from Italy – 24 September 2024 (7/10)
near the ocean, 15 minutes drive to the center Playa de las Americas
What could be improved: breakfast was a bit poorNice one. – Alin from United Kingdom – 6 April 2025 (8/10)
Nice place.
What could be improved: No beaches aroundVery enjoyable and relaxing – David from United Kingdom – 20 February 2025 (8/10)
Great view of the sea and a well equipped one bed flat. Quite easy to park around the apartment but this was in January. You can walk to the beach which has bars and restaurants around it
What could be improved: Shower was difficult even after a plumber came. Too hot at first and then quickly ran out of hot water.OK for a short stay – Aron from Hungary – 19 February 2025 (7/10)
The location is good. The room was big enough for two of us but probably would be quite crowded for four people. It was good that the breakfast is included in the price but that is only pre packed sweets. We were able to find parking places at the other side of the main road in 2-3 minutes walk distance.
What could be improved: As I remember the bed was a little bit two hard. On the first night there were some guests who were making noise after 11 but the other night was OK. They should pay more attention for cleaning there were hairs on the floor behind the bathroom door and on the bathroom wall.Good – Michael from United Kingdom – 30 November 2024 (7/10)
