Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of beachfront places, but Bajamar Beach Vibes Apartment actually lives up to its name – and honestly, that’s not something I say lightly. Right on Calle la Luna (which, by the way, is this narrow street that winds down toward the black sand beaches), this place has that relaxed Canarian vibe without trying too hard. The apartment itself is spacious enough that you’re not tripping over your suitcase every five minutes, and the balcony… well, let’s just say I spent way too many mornings out there with my coffee watching the locals head down to the tide pools.

What really got me about this spot is how it sits in Bajamar proper – you know, not in some touristy bubble but actually in the neighborhood. There’s this little bakery about two blocks down where the owner, Maria, makes these incredible pastries (go early though, they’re gone by 10 AM), and the natural swimming pools are literally a five-minute walk. I mean, you can hear the waves from the apartment, which is either perfect or potentially annoying depending on how light a sleeper you are – for me it was like a free sound machine. The apartment comes with all the stuff you actually need: decent WiFi (I worked from there a few days), a kitchen that’s not just decorative, and – this matters more than you’d think – really good water pressure in the shower.

The thing about Bajamar is that it’s not your typical Tenerife beach town. It’s got this authentic, slightly rough-around-the-edges feel that I really loved. The natural pools carved out of volcanic rock are incredible, especially during low tide when you can hop between them, and there’s usually a mix of families from the nearby towns and the occasional surfer checking out the breaks. The apartment’s location means you’re close enough to walk to everything but far enough from the main road that you’re not dealing with constant traffic noise. Parking can be a bit tight during summer weekends – just so you know – but the owners were super helpful about suggesting alternatives. One small thing: the building’s entrance is a little tricky to spot at night (there’s not much street lighting), but once you figure it out, you’re golden. Honestly, for a 4-star place with a 9 rating, it delivers exactly what it promises – a genuine slice of Canarian life with enough comfort that you’re not roughing it. If you’re looking for something more authentic than the resort strip but still want a proper place to crash, this is your spot.

  Die Dreizimmer-Wohnung liegt in der erste Reihe und man schaut nach Norden direkt auf das Meer und nach Osten kann man den Strand und die Meeresbecken sehen. Der Strand ist in 6-7 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Es gibt sehr gute Parkmöglichkeiten in der Straße. Die Wohnung ist liebevoll ausgestattet. Alles ist da, der Urlaub kann sofort beginnen. Wenige Minuten entfernt befindet sich einen kleinen Supermarkt, der alles hat, was man braucht.
  
  What could be improved: Es kommt, je nach Windrichtung und -Stärke einen leichten Abwassergeruch aus den Abflüssen im Bad und Küche. Vermutlich ist die Strangentlüftung über Dach im Haus nicht Fachgerecht ausgeführt. Das Bett hat eine harte Matratze und meine Frau ist auf den Couch im Wohnzimmer ausgewichen. Wir haben für die Wohnung eine Spülbürste, ein Sparschäler und ein Messerschärfer gekauft. Somit ist die Küche jetzt perfekt. Die Türgriffe waren in der Wohnung nicht korrekt montiert. Da eine Schraube und ein Zwischenblech fehlte, konnte ich nicht alle korrekt Einstellen. Angrenzend liegt der Ballplatz des Ortes und es ist Betrieb und Flutlicht bis 23 Uhr. Für Kinder eine schöne Sache, aber ist manchmal etwas laut. Auch der Nachbar im Haus hatte vermutlich Weihnachtsbesuch und es war etwas laut in eine Nacht. Man hört immer das Meer, es kann sinnvoll sein, Ohropax mitzunehmen.
