So I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Bahia Principe Sunlight Costa Adeje, I wasn’t expecting much from another all-inclusive resort. But this place actually surprised me, and I mean that in the best way possible. It’s tucked away on Calle Idafe, which if you know Adeje at all, puts you in this sweet spot where you’re close enough to the action but not drowning in the tourist chaos that hits some parts of Costa Adeje. The first thing that hit me was how the lobby actually felt welcoming instead of like a processing center – you know what I mean? There’s this easy-going vibe that starts right when you walk in, and honestly, the check-in was smoother than I expected for a place this size.

What really got me was the attention to details that most places just phone in. The pools (yeah, there are several) have these different personalities – one’s clearly the party spot where you’ll hear music and laughter echoing off the surrounding buildings, while another feels almost secretive, tucked away where you can actually hear yourself think. The food situation is… well, it’s all-inclusive, so you know the drill, but they’ve got this one restaurant that does local Canarian dishes, and I’m talking proper papas arrugadas with mojo sauce that doesn’t taste like it came from a jar. The breakfast spread runs until a civilized hour too, which saved me more than once after those late nights exploring the bars down toward Playa de Fañabé.

Here’s the thing about staying here – you’re maybe a fifteen-minute walk from some of the best beaches on this part of Tenerife, but you’re also positioned perfectly if you want to venture up toward Vilaflor or even tackle a day trip to Teide. The staff actually knows the bus routes and can point you toward the guagua stops without that blank stare you get at some resorts. I loved that you could grab a decent coffee in the morning (not great, but decent) and plan your day without feeling pressured to stay glued to the property. The rooms are solid – clean, good AC that actually works, and the balcony views range from pool scenes to glimpses of the ocean depending on where they stick you. One small thing that bugged me was the WiFi gets spotty during peak hours, but honestly, that might be a blessing in disguise if you’re trying to disconnect. The whole place has this relaxed energy that makes you want to slow down a bit, which I guess is exactly what you’re looking for when you’re trying to escape real life for a week.

  Beautiful resort, very clean in rooms and outside, all inclusive with good food and drinks, a la carte restaurants, one big heated pool in February, nice view of the ocean. Very nice for a warm retreat during winter time.

  Can’t fault anything, the food was amazing, so many options, (I am GF) and there was plenty of options for me daily. Staff were all lovely, and the entertainment was very enjoyable, maybe one thing the man on the mic at the pool sent my tinnitus into orbit very overly enthusiastic, slightly insufferable (really sorry) but the vibe was very chill every other day (too too much) apart from that couldn’t recommend this hotel enough! All inclusive is more than worth it here, amazing time away and will definitely be back.
