You know what really gets me about Azure Sky Villa? It’s one of those places where the name actually delivers – I mean, you’re literally perched up in San Eugenio with these sweeping ocean views that honestly made me stop mid-conversation the first time I walked onto the terrace. The villa sits on Calle Noruega, which is this quiet residential street that most tourists never find (and frankly, that’s part of its charm). You’re tucked away from the main drag but still close enough to walk down to the beaches at Playa de Fañabé in about ten minutes.

What struck me right away was how they’ve managed to feel genuinely luxurious without being stuffy about it. The interiors have this modern Mediterranean thing going on – clean lines, lots of natural light, and these huge windows that frame the Atlantic like living artwork. I actually spent way too much time just watching the light change throughout the day because, well, when you’re facing west like this, the sunsets are honestly ridiculous. The kitchen is properly equipped too, not just some token kitchenette – I’m talking full-sized everything, which matters if you’re staying more than a couple nights. And the beds? Look, I’m picky about mattresses, but these were spot-on firm without being like sleeping on concrete.

The location is really what sets this apart from the typical hotel experience down in the tourist zone. San Eugenio Alto has this residential feel where you’ll see locals walking their dogs in the morning, and there’s this little bakery about a five-minute walk away where hardly anyone speaks English but the pastries are incredible. You’re also positioned perfectly for exploring – the coastal path that runs along the cliffs is right there, and if you’re into hiking, the trails up toward Barranco del Infierno are easily accessible by car. Parking, by the way, is actually straightforward here, which anyone who’s driven around southern Tenerife will tell you is not a given. The whole area gets busy during peak season (Christmas through March, basically), but even then, this street stays relatively peaceful. I mean, you’ll hear the occasional motorbike echoing up from the coast, but it’s nothing like the constant hum you get right on the waterfront. With a 9.5 rating, it’s clearly not just me who thinks this place has something special going on – it’s that perfect balance of being close enough to everything but far enough away to actually relax.

  What could be improved: Up hill from town centre to go home. Recommend walking down hill to town and then taxi home – not an inconvenience but just something to consider during stay – the villa and views were worth the walk!

  What could be improved: The views were amazing but you need to take a taxi or hire a car to go anywhere. It’s on a steep hill.

  The villa is excellent and the view from the terrace is exceptional.
  The kitchen is fully equipped, the beds were comfortable and everything looked exactly like the pictures.
  The host (Sandor) was nice and welcoming.

  What could be improved: The pool is a shared pool and was not very clean and the location is a bit far from the center/beach (30+ min walking on hills). We didn't rent a car so that was an inconvenience but the property offers parking so we will take that into consideration for next time.
