So I stumbled across ATIS during one of those late-night booking sessions where you’re scrolling through endless hotel options, and honestly? I’m glad I took a chance on this place. It’s tucked away on Calle Brisas Del Mar in this tiny village called Cueva del Polvo – which, let’s be real, sounds way more exotic than it actually is, but that’s kind of the charm.

The thing about Puerto de Santiago is that most people rush straight to the black sand beaches or get caught up in the Los Gigantes cliff drama, but ATIS sits in this sweet spot where you’re close enough to everything without being in the thick of tourist chaos. You know what I mean? Like, you can actually hear the ocean from some of the rooms (ask for one facing the water when you book), and there’s this lovely breeze that comes through in the evenings – hence the street name, I guess. The hotel itself feels properly Spanish without trying too hard, if that makes sense. Four stars feels about right; it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury, but everything works and the staff actually seems to care about what they’re doing.

What really won me over was the breakfast situation – they do this local tomato bread thing that I’d never had before, and the coffee is actually decent, which you can’t always count on. The pool area gets busy around 11 AM when families start claiming their spots, but if you’re an early riser like me, you can have it pretty much to yourself. Parking was easier than I expected too, which is saying something for this part of Tenerife. The 7.9 rating feels honest – it’s not perfect (the WiFi can be spotty on the upper floors, and sometimes the hot water takes a minute to kick in), but there’s something genuinely comfortable about the place. I ended up extending my stay by two nights, partly because I was lazy about rebooking, but mostly because I wasn’t ready to leave. If you’re looking for that balance between authentic local feel and actual comfort, ATIS hits that note pretty well.

  Traumhafte Dachterrasse, die wir morgens und abends genutzt haben! Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtet- wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt! Auch was die Ausstattung angeht war alles , was man für einen Kurzurlaub benötigt vorhanden!
  
  What could be improved: An einigen Stellen im Haus gibt es Spuren eines Wasserschadens (was für uns bis auf die Optik aber nicht weiter störend war). In der Dusche im unteren Geschoss gab’s nur kaltes Wasser, sodass wir alle im oberen Bad duschen mussten- was uns aber auch nicht wirklich gestört hat). Insgesamt war’s ein traumhafter Urlaub- wir würden gerne wiederkommen!

  Das Haus war ansich schön! Betten waren okay.
  Gut aufgeteilt! Und Garage!
  Die Übergabe hat gut funktioniert und die Dame war sehr freundlich!
  
  What could be improved: In der Beschreibung stand 3 Badezimmer, deswegen haben wir es gebucht. Es waren aber nur 2.
  Es liegt auch etwas abgelegen. Sollte man vielleicht dazuschreiben.
  Es war auch nicht sonderlich sauber.
  Und einige Sachen defekt. Sollte man vielleicht alles mal durchchecken.

  Séjour parfait dans une maison très bien équipée et avec une vue splendide. Elle est bien située pour aller se balader. Nous sommes ravis.

  Las fotos que hay del alojamiento se corresponden con la realidad, es muy amplio y la verdad que todo tiene buen aspecto. Las camas son cómodas. Lo que más nos gustó fue la rápida interacción con la dueña de la casa, contestaba casi al instante los mensajes.
  
  What could be improved: Lo primero que comprobamos al llegar al alojamiento es que nos ponía que tenía 3 habitaciones, pero no es verdad porque una de ellas es como un recibidor sin armario y sin puerta, por lo que la persona que dormía aquí no tenía donde dejar sus pertenencias, ni tenía privacidad. Además ninguna habitación contaba con persianas por lo que era muy molesta la luz del sol por las mañanas.
  
  Los baños eran muy amplios, pero la puerta al ser corredera no llegaba hasta el final por lo que podías ver a la persona que estuviera dentro. Cuando nos fuimos a duchar no salía el agua caliente, se lo dijimos a la dueña y nos dijo que los anteriores huéspedes no habían tenido problemas, es decir no nos dio ninguna solución. Tuvimos que estar los 5 días duchándonos con agua medio templada, y además con un chorrillo súper flojo que salía de la ducha. Esto pasaba en los dos baños, por no decir que una de las mamparas era enana y la otra ducha tenía una cortina bastante sucia. En cuanto al baño de arriba desde el primer día se quedó atascado, tuvo que venir la dueña lo arregló y al día siguiente volvió a quedarse atascado. El bidé estaba lleno de cal y se nos quedó el grifo en la mano al querer abrirlo.
  
  La limpieza en general no era buena ya que había hormigas en la cocina y nos encontramos alguna telaraña al lado de los sofás.
  
  Las almohadas de las camas eran súper finas por lo que se dormía un poco incómodo.
  
  En cuanto a la ubicación tienes que alquilar un coche porque no tienes nada cerca donde poder ir. El garaje era enano si llevas un coche grande no entra.
  
  En la descripción pone que hay secador en el apartamento y hay dos pero no funciona ninguno.
  
  En general nos hemos sentido estafados de pagar un dineral y no tener ni los servicios mínimos cubiertos, como es una ducha, un buen descanso, privacidad e higiene. La verdad que no le recomendaría a nadie hospedarse en esta casa y menos a este precio. Espero que solucionen todo esto para que no les vuelva a ocurrir a otras personas.
