Look, I’ve stayed at my fair share of hotels along Tenerife’s coast, and Armonia Park-Bajamar honestly surprised me. You know how sometimes you book a place based on photos and cross your fingers? Well, this one actually delivers. The location in Urbanizacion Montalmar is pretty perfect – you’re tucked away from the tourist chaos of the south, but still close enough to everything that matters.

What really got me was how the staff here seems to genuinely care about the place. I mean, you can tell when people are just going through the motions versus when they’re actually proud of where they work. The woman at reception (I think her name was Carmen?) knew exactly which local restaurants were worth the walk and which ones were tourist traps. She even warned me that the little grocery store down on Calle Bajamar closes for siesta – saved me a wasted trip. The rooms themselves are solid for a four-star – nothing fancy, but everything works and it’s clean without that overpowering chemical smell some places have. The balcony views depend on which side you get, but honestly, even the “garden view” rooms are pleasant because you’re looking out over these quiet residential streets with their typical Canarian architecture.

Here’s the thing about Bajamar that most people don’t realize – it’s where locals actually go to relax. You’ve got these natural pools carved into the volcanic rock just a short walk away, and they’re incredible for swimming when the ocean’s too rough. The hotel’s about a ten-minute stroll from there, and the path takes you through some charming neighborhoods where you’ll see more Spanish license plates than rental cars. Parking at the hotel is straightforward (thank god, because finding a spot in some of these coastal towns is a nightmare), and the whole area is pretty quiet after about 10 PM – perfect if you’re trying to escape the party scene. I stayed here in late October, which I’d definitely recommend because the summer crowds are gone but the weather’s still gorgeous. The breakfast spread was better than I expected too – proper local cheese, fresh fruit that actually tastes like something, and coffee that doesn’t make you miss your morning routine at home. Sure, it’s not going to blow your mind, but it’s honest food done right.

If you’re the type who needs to be in the thick of things, this might feel a bit too peaceful. But if you want a genuine slice of Canarian life without completely roughing it, Armonia Park-Bajamar hits that sweet spot. Just bring comfortable walking shoes – the coastline here is all about exploring those rocky paths and hidden swimming spots that you’d never find from a resort pool deck.

  Ruim appartement met alle noodzakelijke voorzieningen, wasmachine, afwasmachine, droogrek. En beneden een, voor op vakantie, uitgebreide sportruimte. Het appartement is op loopafstand van een bushalte en het strand. De eigenaar is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam, ook al kwam ik veel later aan dan afgesproken.
  
  What could be improved: Helaas was het zwembad gesloten maar daar kon de eigenaar niets aan doen omdat het een gemeenschappelijk zwembad is.

  Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und sehr sauber. Es ist alles da, was man braucht. Die Aussicht auf den Teide und die Sonnenuntergänge unschlagbar. Ricardo hat alles unkompliziert abgewickelt und war bei Fragen gut erreichbar. Sehr empfehlenswert! Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

  Einfach sehr gut. Wir werden mit Sicherheit wiederkommen. Sehr schönes Apartment, sauber, Ausstattung top. Wir können nichts negatives sagen. Personal sehr freundlich, bedacht darauf, dass wir uns wohlfühlen. Parkplatz direkt an der Unterkunft.

  100% Recomendable si quieres pasar unos días en Bajamar con unas vistas de ensueño!
  El apartamento es muy acogedor, equipado con todo lo que necesitas y con una tranquilidad sublimé. Aunque el alojamiento está a unos 10 minutos andando de la playa o piscinas naturales de Bajamar, se hace muy ameno el paseo porque está todo muy cerca y con ese clima es muy agradable. Además, la persona que se encarga de ellos (Ricardo) es encantador y muy comprensible, mostrando su predisposición y profesionalidad en todo momento.

  La casa cuenta con lo necesario para pasar unos días buenos de vacaciones.
  La cama es grande y cómoda.
  A reseñar el gimnasio si te gusta el deporte, completo y bueno.
