Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about this place on Calle Ruiseñor? The name says “apartment” but honestly, it feels more like staying at a friend’s really well-kept place than some sterile hotel room. I mean, Palm-Mar isn’t exactly the first place most tourists think of when they’re planning their Tenerife trip – it’s actually tucked away from the main resort chaos, which turned out to be exactly what I needed.

The location is pretty smart, actually. You’re literally a five-minute walk from these gorgeous black sand beaches that most people miss because they’re all crowded into Los Cristianos or Playa de las Américas. The apartment itself sits in this quiet residential area where you’ll hear more Spanish conversations than English, which I loved. Parking was surprisingly easy – there’s street parking right outside, and during my stay in late spring, I never had to circle around looking for a spot. The building looks pretty standard from the outside, but step inside and you can tell someone actually cares about the details. The kitchen had proper coffee (not those terrible instant packets), and the shower pressure was honestly better than my place back home.

What really sold me on Palm-Mar, though, was how it feels like a real neighborhood. There’s this little supermarket about two blocks down where the owner started recognizing me by day three, and the morning walks along the coastal path – well, let’s just say I understood why this place has such a high rating. The apartment gets amazing light in the afternoons, and you can actually open the windows without worrying about noise from drunk tourists stumbling back from bars. The Wi-Fi was solid too, which mattered since I was mixing some work with vacation. Sure, if you’re looking for that typical resort experience with poolside cocktails and animation teams, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want to feel like you’re actually experiencing Tenerife rather than just visiting it, and you don’t mind a short drive to the bigger beaches and restaurants, this place makes perfect sense. The whole setup just works – it’s comfortable without being fancy, quiet without being isolated, and priced like the gem it actually is.

  We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Palm-Mar! The apartment was well maintained & decorated, and had everything we needed. The pool area was a plus. Sofia was incredibly helpful and friendly, making sure we had the best tips we needed throughout our stay. I would highly recommend Palm-Mar to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. No regrets at all!

  We were met at the property by a lady who showed us around and was very helpful, the property was clean and tidy with all the facilities that you would expect of an apartment at the price paid. The paddle tennis was a nice extra on site
  
  What could be improved: The bed was a little uncomfortable but we got used to that. The pictures showed a hot tub together with the reviews however there was not one at the property so we were a little disappointed, also there was no digital English tv apart from Netflix and Disney +.

  Clean apartment at ground floor with nice small garden.
  Nice residential complex with parking lot, a few stores and restaurants nearby.
  
  What could be improved: One roll of toilet paper for 10 days, 1 dishwasher tablet, some detergent powder, no trash bags, no coffee but… some expired cookies.

  Het zwembad met de ligzetels die voorzien waren.
  Proper appartement. De garage voor de huurauto was ook een pluspunt.
  
  What could be improved: Het terras heeft geen zon in de winter, maar aan het zwembad was dan wel veel zon. Jacuzzi van op de foto was er niet in de winterperiode, dit had gezegd mogen worden.
