You know what caught me off guard about this place? The name doesn’t really do it justice – calling it just an “apartment with terrace and sea view” is like calling the Sistine Chapel “a room with some ceiling art.” I mean, yeah, technically accurate, but honestly, you’re getting so much more than that basic description suggests.

The location on Calle el Sauzal is actually pretty brilliant if you know this part of Tenerife. El Escobonal isn’t one of those touristy spots everyone talks about, which is exactly why it works so well. You’re up in the hills above the coast, so when they say “sea view,” they’re not talking about some tiny sliver of blue you can barely make out between buildings. From that terrace – and trust me, you’ll spend way more time out there than you planned – you’re looking out over this sweeping view that changes completely depending on the time of day. Morning light hits the water differently than evening light, and if you’re lucky enough to catch sunset from up there, well… let’s just say you’ll understand why the previous guests rated it 8.7 out of 10.

The apartment itself feels properly lived-in rather than sterile hotel-room clean, if that makes sense. There’s character to it, and the terrace setup is actually thoughtful – proper seating where you can have your coffee in the morning without fighting glare, decent shade options for when the afternoon sun gets serious (which it will, especially in summer). What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. You’re far enough from the main coastal road that you don’t get that constant traffic hum, but close enough that getting down to the beach towns isn’t a whole production. The drive to Los Cristianos or Playa de las Américas is maybe 20 minutes, but you feel like you’re in completely different worlds.

Parking wasn’t the nightmare I expected – there’s space, and you don’t have to do that thing where you’re circling the block for half an hour with your luggage melting in the back seat. Check-in was straightforward too, none of that awkward “when will someone actually show up with the keys” situation you sometimes get with vacation rentals. The four-star rating feels about right; it’s not trying to be fancy in ways that don’t matter, but the stuff that actually affects your stay – the view, the space, the peace and quiet – that’s where they really deliver. If you’re the type who needs to be right in the middle of everything, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want somewhere you can actually relax, where you can sit outside in the evening with a drink and watch the lights come on along the coast below, then this place gets it right.
