Look, I’ll be straight with you about Appartamento MareVerde – the name’s a mouthful, but this place actually delivers on what matters most when you’re staying in Adeje. You know how sometimes you book a place and cross your fingers it won’t be a disaster? Well, this one surprised me in the best way possible.

The location on Avenida Ernesto Sarti is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in the area rather than just passing through. I mean, you’re close enough to the beach that you can actually hear the waves if you open the windows at night (which I loved, though light sleepers might want to pack earplugs). The walk to the water takes maybe eight minutes – I timed it because I’m weird like that – and you’ll pass this little bakery that does incredible pastries in the morning. The apartment itself feels more spacious than most hotel rooms you’d get for the same price, and there’s something refreshing about having a proper kitchen. I ended up making breakfast most mornings because, honestly, the local supermarket just down the street has amazing fresh fruit and those Spanish tomatoes that actually taste like something.

What really won me over was how the place manages to feel both central and peaceful. During the day, there’s enough happening on the street to keep things interesting – you’ll hear conversations in about five different languages, which I found charming rather than annoying. But evenings get surprisingly quiet, especially compared to some of the tourist-heavy areas closer to the main strip. The 8.6 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed there – it’s not trying to be fancy, but everything works properly and the space feels clean and well-maintained. I had zero issues with hot water, WiFi was solid (important for those of us who can’t completely disconnect), and the check-in process was refreshingly straightforward. Sure, it’s a 3-star place, so don’t expect marble bathrooms or a concierge, but you get genuine value and a real sense of the neighborhood. The balcony – assuming you get one of the units with outdoor space – catches the morning sun perfectly, and I spent way too much time out there with coffee watching the street come alive each day.
