Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard “Apartment Private Heated Pool” in El Salto, I wasn’t expecting much. The name sounds like someone just threw together whatever keywords would get clicks, you know? But honestly, this little gem tucked away in El Draguito completely changed my perspective on what a 3-star place can actually deliver.

The thing that hits you first isn’t even the apartment itself – it’s how quiet everything gets once you’re off the main road. El Salto isn’t exactly a tourist hotspot (which is actually perfect), and the drive up through El Draguito feels like you’re discovering some local secret. The apartment sits in this residential area where you can actually hear birds instead of traffic, and I mean, that heated pool situation is legit. Not one of those tiny plunge pools that barely fits two people – this is a proper swimming pool that stays warm even when the evenings get a bit cool. I spent way too many mornings just floating around with my coffee, watching the locals head off to work.

What really sells this place though is all the stuff that doesn’t show up in photos. The kitchen actually has everything you need (and I mean everything – proper knives, decent pans, even a coffee maker that doesn’t suck), the shower pressure is surprisingly strong, and there’s this little terrace area that catches the afternoon sun perfectly. The owner clearly lives nearby because any time I had a question, they’d just pop over – never intrusive, but incredibly helpful about things like where to get groceries or which beaches are worth the drive. Speaking of driving, parking is totally stress-free here, which anyone who’s tried to park in the coastal towns will appreciate. The whole setup feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a rental, if that makes sense. Sure, it’s not fancy in that Instagram-perfect way, but it’s comfortable and real, and that 9.5 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a few days. You’re about 20 minutes from the busier coastal spots when you want action, but you’ve got this peaceful base to come back to where you can actually relax without fighting crowds for pool space.

  Everything! The appartment was very nice and well equiped, and how special to have a private pool. Gloria was a great host and their dog was super cute. Quiet and remote location from all the crowds, but short driving to everywhere.

  The fantastic view over the valley below and the sea. The apartment felt more like a holiday home than an apartment, with a lot of privacy, its own garden, terrace and swimming pool. The hosts live above the apartment, and have been very welcoming and supportive in everything that we needed. There was a welcome basket with fruits and wine and Whatsapp contact with the host was easy. The apartment itself was spacious, modern, cozy and very comfortable. Very nice bed, good mattress and a few pillows to choose from. We felt really sorry we had to leave after a week.
  
  What could be improved: I would probably say the worst thing about the apartment is the shower, which is difficult to keep at a constant temperature. Also, the pool isn't heated, but with the sunshine in Tenerife it didn't bother me too much.

  Spent a week in this apartment and it truly was like a home away from home. Clean, comfortable, cosy, quiet, and with spacious outdoor area for kids to play at. Would stay here again without hesitation.

  The appartment is equipped with everything you need and very spacious. Furniture and decoration
  is not brand new though, but functioning. The beds were quite comfortable. There is a large outside area.
  We liked the fact that this is not a very touristy area. We went to many more "local" restaurants in the neighbourhood. Also we visited El Médano a lot. The hosts are very friendly.
  
  What could be improved: The shower wasnt very comfortable and could be improved.
  
  Concerning the location: it was very windy when we stayed here (7 days end of February). Although it was always sunny it wasnt really warm enough to sit outside due to the wind.
  We also stayed in Costa Adeje a few days, there is less wind and it is a lot warmer. However, less of a local vibe as well..
  You need a car to get to places and the entrance road is quite bumpy.

  The property is just outside of San Isidro. Close to the airport, but far enough to not hear any planes. In fact it is a very quiet location, accessible with a short gravel road. You certainly will need a car when you stay here.
  Therefore you get your own apartment with all you need. A garden to sit out, swimming pool. And a super friendly and helpful host.

  La casa está cuidada con mimo de detalles, tener piscina climatizada es un lujazo,si buscan unas vacaciones de paz y tranquilidad es su casa, esta muy bien ubicada, cerca de todo y alejada del ruido. Si van con niños se lo van a pasar genial allí, hay gallinas, peces y un perro Minuto que es un encanto con los niños. Y que decir de Gloria y Sergio son un amor de personas, todo amabilidad y hospitalidad le hacen sentir como en casa. Sin duda han sido unas vacaciones maravillosas

  Die Wohnung liegt außerhalb von San Isidro ein paar Kilometer die Straße hinauf. Die sehr netten Vermieter wohnen oben drüber. Das Anwesen ist sehr schön, der Ausblick ist einfach wunderschön. Es ist jetzt kein Botanischer Garten, aber es hat viele Vögel, vor Allem die Segler, die ab und zu ums Haus fliegen sind ein Traum. Vom Schlafzimmer kann man in der Ferne auch ein wenig das Meer sehen im liegen. Der Pool ist einige Grad wärmer, als ein oft eiskalter Hotelpool. Ab und zu hat man auch seine persönliche Poolaufsicht (der Haushund passt beim schwimmen auf wenn man das möchte). Es hat in der Wohnung alles was man benötigt. Bett ist sehr bequem. W-Lan sehr gut. Deutsches Fernsehen, wenn man es mal braucht gibt es auch. Perfekt auch das oberhalb, fußläufig gelegene Restaurant Zum Lamm, gute kanarische Küche.

  Alles vorhanden, was man braucht inklusive eigenem Swimmingpool. Total ruhige Lage oberhalb vom Touristenrummel. Man benötigt unbedingt einen Leihwagen. Und man sollte Hunde mögen. Die Vermieter sind liebenswerte, immer hilfsbereite Menschen. Eier gibt's von den eigenen Hühner.
  Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.
