You know what caught me off guard about this place? I was expecting another cookie-cutter apartment rental in Playa de las Americas, but Las Floritas actually feels like someone put real thought into it. The building sits right on Av. Arquitecto Gómez Cuesta – and honestly, if you know this street, you know it’s one of those spots where you get the energy of Las Americas without being right in the thick of the party chaos.

The apartment itself is surprisingly spacious, which I mean, after staying in some of those shoebox places around the Veronicas Strip, this felt like a luxury. The kitchen actually has counter space (revolutionary concept, right?), and the balcony – well, depending on which unit you get – gives you either a decent view toward the ocean or at least lets you people-watch the endless parade of tourists figuring out where they’re going. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. You’re close enough to walk to everything – maybe ten minutes to the main beach, five to get to the CC Veronicas if that’s your thing – but far enough up the hill that you’re not dealing with the 3 AM crowd stumbling home. The whole Las Floritas complex feels more residential than touristy, if that makes sense.

Here’s the thing about this location that most people don’t realize until they’ve been here a few times: you’re actually perfectly positioned between the madness of the main strip and the slightly more upscale area around Mare Nostrum. Walking to Siam Park takes about twenty minutes if you don’t mind the hill, or you can catch the bus right at the bottom of the street. Parking’s not terrible either – there’s usually space in the surrounding streets, which honestly is half the battle in this part of Tenerife. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that “meet me at this random café with your luggage” nonsense you sometimes get with apartment rentals. I’d say the only minor thing is that the wifi can be a bit spotty during peak hours, but then again, you’re in Tenerife – maybe that’s not the worst thing in the world.
