The thing about Puerto de la Cruz is that location is everything, and these guys nailed it. I mean, you step out the door and you’re basically in the heart of the old town, but not the cheesy touristy bit – the actual functioning neighborhood where locals grab their morning coffee. The apartments themselves are… well, they’re proper apartments, not those weird hotel-apartment hybrids where nothing quite works. Mine had a kitchen I actually used (shocking, I know), and the balcony – honestly, I spent way too much time out there with my morning coffee watching the street come alive. There’s something about the way the light hits those old buildings in the morning that just works.

What really got me was the attention to detail. The check-in was refreshingly human – no corporate script, just someone who clearly knew the area and gave me actual useful tips about where to park (crucial in Puerto de la Cruz) and which restaurants to avoid. The rating of 9 makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be some luxury resort, it’s just doing the apartment thing really, really well. The beds are comfortable, the wifi actually works, and the shower has proper water pressure, which honestly is rarer than it should be in this price range. Only tiny complaint? The walls are a bit thin, but that’s pretty standard for older buildings in the Canaries, and it never really bothered me. If you’re looking for a base to explore Puerto de la Cruz without paying resort prices or dealing with all-inclusive crowds, this is your spot. Just book early – I get the feeling this place fills up fast once people discover it.
