Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked down Calle Alemania looking for these apartments, I almost missed them entirely. The street’s tucked away from the main tourist drag, which honestly turned out to be one of the best things about staying here. You’re still in Puerto de la Cruz proper, but you’re not dealing with the crowds that swarm around the main plaza every evening.

The apartments themselves are exactly what they promise – nuevo, or new – and you can tell. Everything’s got that fresh, recently renovated feel without being sterile. The studios are compact but smartly designed, and I mean really smartly. Whoever planned these spaces actually thought about how people live, not just how to cram in furniture. The kitchenette has enough counter space to actually prep a meal (revolutionary concept, right?), and there’s proper storage for your stuff. The bathroom’s small but modern, with one of those rainfall showerheads that actually works.

What really sold me on the place was the neighborhood vibe. Calle Alemania sits in this sweet spot where you can walk to the black sand beaches of Playa Jardín in about ten minutes – and I mean a proper walk, not the “five-minute stroll” that somehow takes twenty minutes you see in most hotel descriptions. There’s a little bakery two streets over where locals grab their morning coffee, and you know it’s good because there’s always a line of Canarios waiting patiently with their newspapers. The apartment’s quiet at night too, which surprised me given how central it is. I guess being slightly off the main tourist circuit means you don’t get the late-night revelers stumbling past your windows.

The 9.2 rating makes complete sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s not trying to be fancy – it’s just doing everything right. The WiFi actually works (tested it on video calls), the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine, and check-in was refreshingly straightforward. The owner clearly knows what business travelers and longer-stay visitors need because there are thoughtful touches everywhere – proper hangers in the closet, outlets where you actually need them, decent lighting for reading.

I stayed during shoulder season in October, and the place felt like a local secret. Puerto de la Cruz can get pretty touristy, especially around the Lago Martiánez area, but from this base you can explore the town like someone who actually lives here. Walk down to the old port in the morning before the tour buses arrive, grab lunch at one of the family-run restaurants near Plaza del Charco, then retreat back to your quiet little studio when the afternoon crowds roll in. It’s that kind of place – unpretentious, well-located, and honestly just pleasant to come back to after a day of wandering around Tenerife.

  The apartment is a flat in a condominium. You have a nice view from the balcony to the city and to the hills. Although the flat is small it was comfortable for two of us. The kitchen is also well equipped. They have a washing machine in the bathroom which came in handy for us. Despite of the negative things mentioned below we had a pleasant stay here.
  
  What could be improved: The owner forgot to send me the details of the check-in in advance. Finally I had to call her. In the first two days the wi-fi was not working and the wi-fi code was hidden in the cupboard. When we arrived it was hard to find a parking place near the house but later when we get more familiar with the surroundings we get used to it. The apartment is about 20-25 minutes walk from downtown (uphill backwards) which can be too far for some tourist but it was OK for us. Unfortunately some of the cuttleries and the mugs were not washed properly we had to wash them again before usage.

  We liked the property's view and that it was close to the center. Also, very good kitchen facilities for cooking at home. Nice shower.
  
  What could be improved: It was pretty hot to sleep without a fully opened window. The bed was too narrow for two people to sleep really comfortably. Also, it's just the feature of the place but if you walk by foot home from the city center, you will be walking quite steeply uphill and that might be tiring for some.

  Very bright, cozy apartment. Comfortable bed, very clean. Amazing balcony with the mointain view. Quiet area. Easy self check-in and out. Thank you for pleasant stay!
  
  What could be improved: Little minus is the location on top of the hill, for some could be challenging to go by foot. Apartment lacked of basic cooking products like cooking oil, salt, pepper, sugar, coffee. Otherwise everything was perfect.

  The host was wonderful, she even went home and made me sandwich when I arrived in the first night as the plane was delayed by 2 hours, she came to the taxi to see me off, very helpful. And friendly, really want to go back.
