Apartamentos Barranco del Infierno Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Apartamentos Barranco del Infierno on Calle los Molinos, you immediately get the sense that this place knows its audience. This four-star property sits in one of those perfect spots in Adeje where you’re close enough to everything but far enough away from the tourist chaos. The building itself has that clean, modern Spanish apartment style — nothing flashy, but you can tell it’s well-maintained and thoughtfully designed. The attention to detail throughout the property reflects a commitment to guest comfort and satisfaction.

Location & Neighborhood

Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re actually in Adeje proper, not stuck in some resort bubble. The famous Barranco del Infierno (Hell’s Gorge) hiking trail is practically on your doorstep, which explains the name and why couples rate this place so highly for romantic getaways. You know what’s brilliant? You can walk to local bars and restaurants that locals actually use, but you’re still only about 15 minutes from the beaches of Costa Adeje. The location feedback doesn’t lie — recent guests consistently rave about how perfectly positioned this place is.

The Apartment Experience

These aren’t hotel rooms in the traditional sense — each apartment feels like you’re staying in someone’s well-appointed second home. The kitchen setup is actually functional (I’m talking full-size fridge, proper cooking space), which honestly makes such a difference when you want to grab fresh produce from the local market or just make coffee the way you like it. The living areas have that airy, Mediterranean feel with plenty of natural light, and the furnishings strike that sweet spot between comfortable and stylish.

What Sets It Apart

The staff here gets it — they’re helpful without being hovering, and they actually know the area well enough to give you proper recommendations. I mean, when someone can tell you which trail to take for the best views or where to find the good tapas place that’s not in the guidebooks, that’s gold. The property maintains that quiet, residential vibe that makes it feel like you’re living somewhere rather than just visiting. There’s parking available too, which anyone who’s driven around Tenerife’s winding roads will appreciate. The thoughtful amenities enhance the overall experience.

Why Guests Love It

The 8.3 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed here — it’s that rare combination of independence and support that seasoned travelers crave. Couples especially seem to fall for the place because you get privacy and space to actually relax together, plus you’re positioned to explore both the natural beauty (those gorge hikes are incredible) and the local culture. It’s not trying to be everything to everyone, which is exactly why it works so well for what it is — a thoughtfully located base for people who want to experience Tenerife beyond the resort strips. This property truly delivers on its promise.

Reviews of Apartamentos Barranco del Infierno

  • Nilas from Denmark (7/10)

This is the first time I've stayed at a place without a private balcony (my apartment didn't have any). But the shared roof terrace was really good, not crowded, and with lots of chairs and some tables and sunbeds.
And I liked the panoramic view from the terrace from the mountains over the town to the sea.

Very close to Barranco del infierno. Very complete apartment. Nice views. The place was quite clean, including common areas. They contacted me in advance to set up the key finding and check-in time.

-The location in old Adeje is actually quite nice (good restaurants nearby)
-The apartment was a comfortable place to stay for a couple of nights, would not recommend it as a "holiday home"
-The view from the terrace is beautiful
-We had apartment no 4, which is not facing the street, so it was relatively quiet
-The beds (mattresses) were comfortable enough
    – communication through WhatsApp, Keybox outside
