You know what struck me first about apartamento Vistamar? The name actually delivers – and I mean, how often does that happen with hotels? From the moment you walk into this place on Calle Manuel Yanes Barreto, you get these sweeping ocean views that honestly make you forget you’re in an apartment-style setup. The street itself is one of those typical Puerto de la Cruz gems – quiet enough that you’re not dealing with the tourist chaos from the main strips, but you’re still just a few minutes’ walk from everything that matters.

The apartment vibe here is what sets it apart, I think. You’ve got proper kitchen facilities (not those sad little coffee makers most places give you), which is brilliant because – let’s be honest – eating out every meal in Puerto de la Cruz adds up fast, even though the food scene is incredible. The setup feels more like staying at a friend’s well-appointed place than a hotel, if that makes sense. The balconies are where you’ll spend your evenings, probably with a bottle of local wine, watching the Atlantic do its thing. I mean, there’s something about the way the light hits the water here in the late afternoon that’s just… well, it’s why people keep coming back to this part of Tenerife.

What really got me though was how the staff actually knows the neighborhood – not just the tourist stuff, but like where to grab the best coffee in the morning (there’s this little spot about three blocks down that locals hit up), or which days the market’s worth checking out. Puerto de la Cruz has this interesting split personality between the old-school Canarian vibe and the international crowd, and staying here puts you right in the sweet spot where both worlds meet. The 9.2 rating makes sense when you experience it – it’s not trying to be some flashy resort, but everything just works the way it should. Check-in was smooth, the place was spotless, and honestly, the Wi-Fi actually worked properly, which you can’t always count on in these older buildings. The only thing I’d mention is that if you’re someone who needs to be right in the thick of the nightlife action, you might find yourself walking a bit more than you’d like – though personally, I appreciated having a peaceful base to return to after exploring the livelier parts of town.

  Beautiful look out of balcony. Nice owner. Deposit was 100e but got it right back at last day. Bit walk to supermarket. 15-20min walk to Loro park. For cars is garage.

  ¡Todo fue perfecto!
  Lo que más me gustó fue lo increíblemente bien equipado que estaba el piso: no faltaba absolutamente nada. Desde los detalles en la cocina (con todos los utensilios y electrodomésticos necesarios) hasta las comodidades del baño y el salón, todo estaba pensado para que la estancia fuera cómoda y placentera. Se nota el cuidado y la atención al detallede Aarón. ¡Repetiría sin dudarlo!

  Nuestra estancia ha sido fenomenal. Muy limpio el apartamento y con todas las comodidades. Aaron en todo momento ha estado pendiente de nuestra estancia e incluso tuvo el detalle de dejarnos un bidón de agua para la llegada. La ubicación es perfecta para moverte y en una zona residencial muy tranquila sin ruido por las noches. Repetiremos seguro y lo recomendaremos.

  Apartamento nuevo en ubicación excelente a poca distancia de las playas, pero en un paraje rodeado de campos de bananeros. Se puede bajar andando a las playas de el castillo y playa grande. Se puede andar hasta el centro, es un buen paseo. El apartamento tiene vistas al mar y una pequeña terracita, es muy tranquilo y luminoso. Situación perfecta para visitar toda la costa norte y gran parte de la isla, el teide, etc. Infinidad de excursiones posibles.
  
  What could be improved: En las playas de puerto de la cruz (playa grande y playa del castillo) no estaba recomendado el baño temporalmente por vertidos. Es una pena porque son muy agradables, aunque hay un montón de otras opciones, en puerto de la cruz o en pueblos cercanos.
