So I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Apartamento Primera Linea de Mar” on the booking site, I was expecting maybe another generic beachfront rental. But walking up to this place on Calle Mesa del Mar, you immediately get why it’s got that 9.4 rating. It’s literally what the name promises – first line to the sea – and from the moment you step onto that terrace, you’re basically hanging over the Atlantic.

The thing about Tacoronte is that most people just drive through it on their way to the touristy spots, but honestly? They’re missing out. This apartment sits in this perfect sweet spot where you’ve got the ocean right there (and I mean RIGHT there – you can hear the waves from bed), but you’re also close enough to the local life that actually matters. There’s this little bar about two blocks down where the locals go for morning coffee, and the woman who runs it makes these incredible tortillas that you won’t find in any guidebook. The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile rental – the kitchen’s got proper Spanish tiles, there’s decent water pressure (trust me, this matters in the Canaries), and the Wi-Fi actually works, which… well, you know how hit-or-miss that can be in smaller towns.

What really gets me about this place is the timing of everything. Early morning, around 7 AM, you get this incredible light coming off the water that makes your coffee taste better somehow. Evenings are when the magic happens though – the whole western coastline lights up, and you’re sitting there with a glass of local wine thinking you’ve cracked some kind of code. The street itself is quiet enough that you’re not dealing with tourist crowds (Mesa del Mar isn’t exactly a main thoroughfare), but you’re maybe a 15-minute walk from the town center when you need supplies. Parking’s actually not terrible either – there’s usually space along the street, which is saying something for a coastal spot in Spain. The only thing I’d mention is that it’s a proper apartment, not a hotel, so don’t expect daily housekeeping or a concierge. But that’s kind of the point, isn’t it? You’re living like a local for a few days, and honestly, after staying here, going back to a regular hotel room feels a bit… small.

  We were very happy to be guests to Sara's apartment. It has stunning view on seaside, beach and cliffs. It was clean and comfortable, with all necessary supplies. The parking outside is big so there are no problems with finding available spot – very handy if you're travelling by car like we did.
  Sara is a perfect host – she's very helpful and responsive and we'll be happy to visit this place once again in the future 🙂

  Apartment is located near coastline with a wonderful view of a sea. Place is very clean and cozy, with well-equipped kitchen (microwave, oven, washing machine, plenty of pots, and pans). There is beach and a natural pool nearby, you can find a small convenience store there as well.
