You know what really caught me off guard about Apartamento Playa y Golf? The name makes it sound like some generic resort complex, but honestly, this place has way more character than I expected. It’s tucked into the Residencias Cañadas development in San Miguel de Abona – and I mean really tucked in, like you’ll definitely need GPS to find Portal A the first time. The address sounds intimidating with all those numbers and letters, but once you’re there, it actually feels pretty cozy.

The thing about this spot is that it sits in this sweet spot between the tourist chaos and the real Tenerife. San Miguel de Abona isn’t exactly a household name, but that’s sort of the point – you’re about fifteen minutes from the airport (super convenient, actually), but you’re not dealing with the constant buzz of planes overhead like some places closer in. The golf course they reference is the Golf del Sur, which is genuinely decent if you’re into that, and the beach access… well, it’s not exactly beachfront, but you can get to some really nice stretches of coast without the crowds you’d find in Los Cristianos or Playa de las Américas.

What I really appreciated was how the apartment felt like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile rental. The 4-star rating isn’t just marketing fluff – the place is genuinely well-maintained, and that 8.6 rating makes sense when you factor in the value. The kitchen actually has proper equipment (not just a sad mini-fridge and hot plate situation), and the balcony views depend on which unit you get, but even the less spectacular ones have this nice residential feel where you can watch local life happen below. Parking was straightforward, which honestly is half the battle in Tenerife developments. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the Wi-Fi can be a bit spotty in the evenings when everyone’s streaming, but during the day it’s totally fine for work calls or whatever. Check-in was smooth – they’ve got it organized so you’re not standing around wondering where to go, which after a long travel day, you really appreciate. If you’re looking for something that feels more like living somewhere than just visiting, and you don’t need to be right in the thick of the tourist scene, this place hits that mark pretty well.

  Liked the location of the property, had 2 balconies, both furnished with seating areas and offering great views . Nice secure complex with pool area and plenty sun loungers. Great Wi-Fi and very large smart TV. Overall a great place to stay .

  Un appartement exceptionnel avec tout ce qu'il faut pour passer un agréable séjour : Propreté, Équipements, Parking, WiFi, Sécurité, Emplacement en plein Golf / Marina, Piscine très propre le tout dans un quartier plein de quiétude.   Das Haus inklusive der Wohnung sind modern ausgestattet und darin lässt es sich gut wohnen. Die Poolanlage ist groß und zur Außenwelt abgegrenzt. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin war tadellos. Die Wohnung liegt zentral in Golf del sur, alles dort angebotene ist fußläufig gut zu erreichen.
