Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “Apartamento Katrina Balcón del mar” on Costa Del Silencio, I wasn’t expecting much. The area’s got this reputation for being where locals go when they want to escape the tourist madness of Los Cristianos, and honestly? That’s exactly what makes it perfect. You know what really got me about this place though – that balcón del mar isn’t just marketing speak. Step out onto that terrace and you’re literally hanging over the Atlantic, watching waves crash against the volcanic rocks below. The sound is incredible, especially in the early morning when the rest of Costa Del Silencio is still asleep.

The apartment itself feels like someone actually lives here instead of just cycling through vacation rentals. I mean, the kitchen’s got proper knives (you travelers know what I’m talking about), and there’s this little reading nook by the window that catches the afternoon light just right. The whole setup screams comfortable rather than flashy – think quality linens and a coffee machine that actually works, not marble countertops and chandeliers. What really surprised me was how quiet it stays despite being right on the water. Costa Del Silencio lives up to its name, even during peak season. You’re close enough to walk to the natural pools at Ten-Bel (maybe fifteen minutes if you take your time), but far enough from the main drags that you won’t hear drunk tourists stumbling home at 3 AM.

Parking’s actually decent here too – there’s street parking right along Odisea that doesn’t turn into a battlefield like it does up in the hills. The building’s got that solid 80s construction you see all over this part of Tenerife, which means thick walls and none of that paper-thin nonsense you get in newer developments. I spent a good chunk of my mornings just sitting on that balcony with coffee, watching the ferry boats head out to La Gomera and the occasional whale watching tour coming back from deeper waters. The whole vibe is just… relaxed, you know? It’s not trying to be anything other than what it is – a really solid place to stay where you can actually hear yourself think. If you’re looking for nightlife and resort pools, honestly, this isn’t your spot. But if you want to wake up to the sound of waves instead of construction noise, and you appreciate when someone’s put actual thought into making a space comfortable rather than just Instagram-worthy, then yeah – this is exactly what you’re looking for.

  Really nice, cosy and clean apartment. It has everything you need and also looks nice. Nice complex with a pool and beautiful views of the coast. The apartment is really close to a bus stop, so it’s easy to access different towns even without a car

  The only thing to keep in mind is that the side on which this apartment is located is quite windy, so if you’re a sensitive sleeper, bring the earplugs

  Very nice and clean apartment, you'll find all the comfort you need to feel like home. The apartment is equipped with everything you need, the location enjoys the sun in the morning and the shade in the afternoon, perfect for not being extremely hot. It has a generous terrace overlooking the ocean and from where you can see the wonderful sunrise. The building has a large and nice swimming pool An excellent accommodation.

  Ci hanno dato un appartamento al piano terra che con un bambino è stato molto comodo, appartamento con spazi grandi e una bellissima terrazza esterna, dotato di lavatrice e lavastoviglie. Host molto carini e disponibili!

  What could be improved: La dificultad de entrar al recinto de apartamentos ,si no tienes la llave el portero no abre la puerta y hay un sistema de entrada a la piscina con llave electrónica ,si quería ir a la piscina mi marido se queda sin llave para poder salir del recinto
