Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Apartamento junto al mar El Galeón” on the booking site, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But this little gem at Playa del Roque de las Bodegas completely caught me off guard. The location alone is worth the trip – you’re literally steps from one of Tenerife’s most dramatic black sand beaches, the kind that makes your Instagram followers think you’ve discovered some secret corner of the world. The Anaga Mountains rise up behind you like something out of a fantasy novel, and honestly, the whole setting feels way more exclusive than what you’re paying for.

What really gets me about El Galeón is how it manages to feel both relaxed and special at the same time. The apartment itself is nothing fancy – think clean, comfortable, with that slightly worn-in feel that actually makes you relax instead of worrying about breaking something expensive. The kitchen’s got everything you need if you want to grab fresh fish from the local market (there’s a great one about 15 minutes down the coast road), and the terrace… well, let’s just say I spent way too many evenings out there with a bottle of local wine watching the Atlantic crash against those volcanic rocks. You know what surprised me most? How quiet it gets at night. I mean, you’ve got the ocean right there, but it’s this gentle, constant sound that actually helps you sleep better than any white noise machine.

The thing about staying at Roque de las Bodegas is that you’re getting the real Tenerife experience without the tourist circus. Sure, you’re about 45 minutes from Santa Cruz if you need city amenities, but why would you want to leave? The beach here is perfect for those dramatic sunset photos, and if you’re into hiking, the Anaga Rural Park trails are right there – some of the best laurel forest walks I’ve ever done. The locals at the nearby bar (it’s called Casa Goyo, and yes, you should definitely eat there) treat you like family after about two visits. I actually ended up extending my stay twice because I couldn’t bear to leave. For a 3-star rating, this place punches way above its weight, and that perfect 10 rating from other guests? Yeah, I totally get it now.

  Nos alojamos en este apartamento y quedamos muy satisfechos.
  Todo es tal como se describe: la relación calidad-precio es excelente. El proceso de entrada fue fácil y sin complicaciones. Los anfitriones son muy amables y atentos. El apartamento estaba limpio, acogedor y equipado con todo lo necesario para una estancia cómoda. Y lo mejor: ¡una de las mejores vistas al océano que hemos visto!

  L'accueil, la vue, la propreté, les petits détails (même des produits d'hygiène intime pour femme au cas où…).
  Le calme et la tranquillité avec la nuit bercée par l'océan, et on a eu droit au coucher et au lever de soleil depuis le balcon.
