You know what struck me first about Apartamento Garza Blanca? It’s actually got this perfect sweet spot thing going on — tucked away on Calle Altavista where you’re not dealing with tourist chaos, but you’re still close enough to everything that matters in Bajamar. I mean, the address might not ring a bell if you’ve never been to this part of Tenerife, but once you’re there, you’ll get why locals love this little pocket of the coast.

The thing about Bajamar is that it’s sort of this hidden gem on the northern coast that most people skip right over on their way to the bigger resort towns. Honestly, that’s their loss. The apartment itself sits up on this slight rise — hence the “Altavista” name, which literally means “high view” — and you can actually catch glimpses of the Atlantic between the buildings. It’s not a full-on ocean view situation, but there’s something nice about those little peeks of blue when you’re having your morning coffee. The building’s got that clean, modern Spanish apartment vibe without being all flashy about it. Four stars feels about right; it’s comfortable and well-maintained without trying to be something it’s not.

What really sells this place, though, is how it plugs you into the real Bajamar experience. You’re walking distance from those natural pools that locals use for swimming — and I mean the ones that aren’t overrun with day-trippers because they’re slightly harder to find. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel where you’ll hear Spanish conversations drifting from balconies and catch the smell of someone’s grandmother making sofrito around dinnertime. Parking’s actually doable here (unlike some places on the island where you’re circling for twenty minutes), and the check-in process was refreshingly straightforward — no overly complicated key card systems or confusing building layouts.

The 9.2 rating makes sense once you spend a few days here. It’s not trying to be the Ritz, but it nails the fundamentals that actually matter when you’re traveling. The place stays quiet at night, the wi-fi works properly, and everything feels clean without that sterile hotel smell. Plus, you’re positioned perfectly for exploring the northern coast — those dramatic black sand beaches and hiking trails that most tourists never discover because they’re too busy fighting crowds in the south. If you’re the type who’d rather have a genuine slice of Canarian life instead of another generic resort experience, this little apartment on Calle Altavista delivers exactly that.

  Very comfortable appartement. The kitchen had everything.
  
  What could be improved: The sun is not directly on your terras but you do have a great view over the see. And if you want you can sit in the sun on the other side in front of your door.

  Stunning view, nice interior and lovely and kind owner. Walking distance to some nice restaurants like Nami and the Bajamar surf spot. Very good internet connection and smart TV.
  
  What could be improved: The knives for cutting could be sharper and kitchen towel would be useful. Other than that it's well equipped.

  Apartamento Garza Blanca is located in a quite street and it offers marvelous views from its balcony. Photos of the apartment in the booking app are accurate. It is fully equipped and nicely furnished. Neighbors are very kind and friendly. If you are renting a car there are plenty of parking lots either in front or in the back of the building. Piscinas naturales are walking distance away (cca 800 m) which is great. Owner Claudiu was very kind, offering proposals for things to visit or places to eat and he immediately responded and when we had a small mishap in the bathroom. We enjoyed our staying and would definitely visit again.

  Everything you need in an apartment, wonderful view from the balcony
  and the terrace is perfect for drinking tea in the evening. Claudiu was very nice and provided us with lots of useful information and it was very easy to contact him for the keys.

  Very friendly and helpful host. The appartment was perfectly clean and everything smelled fresh and good (which is in our experience quite rare, so thank you). It is small but cute, and as in most of spanish appartments you can hear the neighbours (but they are very quiet and nice). The appartment is very nicely decorated. The view is amazing from the small wintergarden, where you can relax even when it's rainy or windy.
  The bed is quite big and comfortable. We had no problem with the parking outside (in December)
  I recommend it 100%, it's even better than in the pictures 🙂 !

  Amazing views that look right at the surf breaks in Bajamar. Everything you could need for a comfy stay. Washer included as well. Internet was fast. Nice 55” TV.
