Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Camino las Mercedes 205, I wasn’t expecting much from what’s essentially an apartment rental. But you know what? This place actually surprised me in the best way possible. The building sits in this quiet residential stretch of La Laguna, and I mean properly quiet – none of that tourist hustle you get closer to the university area. You’re about a fifteen-minute walk from the historic center, which sounds like a trek but honestly becomes this nice little ritual where you pass these gorgeous Canarian houses with their wooden balconies.

The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile hotel room, which I loved. The kitchen’s properly equipped – I’m talking real pots and pans, not those flimsy things you usually get. There’s this lovely wooden dining table where I’d sit with my morning coffee, watching the neighborhood slowly wake up. The locals here are early risers, so by 7 AM you’ve got people heading to work, kids walking to school. It’s real life, you know? The Wi-Fi actually works (miracle!), and the hot water pressure is decent, though it takes a minute to get going – just run the tap while you’re brushing your teeth. One thing though – if you’re bringing a car, parking can be a bit of a puzzle. There’s street parking, but it fills up fast, especially on weekends when families visit.

What really sold me on this place was how it puts you right in the heart of actual La Laguna life. Walk five minutes down the street and you’ll hit this little café where the owner, María, makes the best cortado I’ve had on the island – locals line up there every morning around 8:30. The apartment’s location means you’re perfectly positioned for exploring the old town’s UNESCO sites without being stuck in the thick of tour groups. Plus, you can actually hear the church bells from San Cristóbal in the evening, which sounds cheesy but is genuinely lovely. The 8.1 rating makes sense to me – it’s not luxury, but it’s comfortable and authentic in a way that feels increasingly rare. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I wanted to experience Tenerife beyond the resort bubble. Just pack light if you’re on an upper floor – there’s no elevator, and those traditional Canarian stairs are steeper than they look.

  Apartamento en La Laguna is in a beautiful, tranquil location with easy, ample parking and is excellent value for money. The apartment is well equiped and has fast, reliable Wifi. The owners are so very helpful and sociable that we felt very much at home. The view of Teide [especially at sunset] from the terrace was a lovely surprise!
  It's difficult to find any fault with the property because the cost reflected the apartment perfectly.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing at all that we didn't like. The photos show the apartment accurately and we were very happy with our stay!

  I like location of this property. Our plan was visiting Anaga park and enjoy one of the hike trail. Property was 10 min drive from Park Visiting center. I always like if the is sitting area outside, it was great that we could have our breakfast with mountains view. Washing machine was working. There is huge parking lot.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing to mention here, I would prefer more natural lights in the apartments, but maybe because it was all the time cloudy during our stay.

  A good location for exploring the ANAGA region in the north of Tenerife. We liked very much the outdoor patio which has both covered and uncovered seating – we had all of our meals outdoor, even if it rained, great!
  
  What could be improved: The folding sofa bed is not very comfortable for sleeping – this place is ideal for two people who can use the main double bed.

  It's a big, comfortable studio apartment with everything someone will need for a short or a long stay. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. There is a nice view from the balcony and a big parking lot at the premises
  
  What could be improved: Everything was perfect, but it needs a little more attention when it's being cleaned, as there was a left sponge at the shower and there were "neglected sports" around. Also the hot water finished very quickly and and we had to wait a whole for the second person to have a shower

  This place is really nice: cozy second floor room with great view and orange there by the side. Room was clean, bed was nice and in the kitchen we found everything what we needed. Really recomend to stay here.
