So I stumbled across this place – Apartamento con piscina golf del sur – while hunting for somewhere decent to stay in San Miguel de Abona, and honestly, it turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises you don’t expect from a 3-star spot. The address puts you right on Avenida J.M. Galván Bello, which sounds fancy but is actually just the main drag through this quiet corner of southern Tenerife. What caught my attention first was how the whole setup feels more like borrowing a friend’s apartment than staying in some cookie-cutter hotel – you know what I mean? The pool area is where this place really shines, though. Not huge or anything, but perfectly positioned to catch the afternoon sun, and there’s something satisfying about having a swim while looking out toward the golf course. Speaking of which, Golf del Sur is literally right there if you’re into that sort of thing, though I spent more time watching the golfers struggle with the wind than actually playing myself.

The apartment itself has that lived-in comfort that’s hard to fake – the kind of place where the coffee maker actually works properly and there’s enough counter space to spread out your stuff. I mean, it’s not going to win any design awards, but everything you need is there, and the AC keeps things bearable even during those sticky August afternoons. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, which is saying something since you’re still close enough to the action in Los Cristianos and Playa de las Américas (maybe 15 minutes by car, depending on traffic). The whole San Miguel de Abona area has this relaxed vibe that the busier resort towns have lost – you can actually hear yourself think, and the local bars serve proper Spanish food instead of just tourist stuff. Parking was never an issue, which anyone who’s driven around the southern resorts will tell you is basically a miracle.

Here’s the thing that really sold me on this place – it’s got that sweet spot location where you’re away from the crowds but not stuck in the middle of nowhere. The 8.3 rating makes sense once you’ve been there a few days; it’s not perfect, but it delivers on what matters most. The pool gets busy around mid-morning when families with kids show up, but early evening is prime time for a peaceful swim. If you’re planning to explore the island, you’re perfectly positioned for day trips – Teide National Park is maybe an hour’s drive, and you can hit the black sand beaches of the southeast coast in twenty minutes. I actually ended up extending my stay because leaving felt like giving up a good thing, and honestly, for the price point, you’d be hard-pressed to find something better in this part of Tenerife.

  Súper confortable appartement with all needed to enjoy time in and cook. Great view on amazing pool and sunsets. Super friendly and helpful hosts. Walking distance right out of the compound you find very useful store an nice restaurants. I really recommend it!
  
  What could be improved: The location of the whole compound: when you drive there you get worried of all those constructions around it. There is no nice village walking distance, but with a car all is close!

  Bardzo przyjemne, czyste mieszkanko wyposażone we wszystko co niezbędne. Dobry zasięg WiFi. Podgrzewany basen zdecydowanie umilał pobyt. Dużo leżaków i parasoli, czysto i przyjemnie.

  What could be improved: Brak kart do otwierania bramek wejściowych nr 1 i nr 5. Aplikacja działa wolno, trzeba za każdym razem czekać przy bramce na otwarcie. Raz rozładował mi się telefon, czekałem przy bramce aż któryś z gości mnie przepuści. Niestety, trafiłem na bardzo niemiłych gości, którzy nie chcieli mnie wypuścić i siła wypchnęli za teren ośrodka. Była to dla mnie bardzo niemiła i stresująca sytuacja.

  Il complesso è meraviglioso. Pulito accogliente e i giardini subtropicali bellissimi. La vista dall'appartamento sulla piscina dona tranquillità.la casa spaziosa e accogliente. Supermercati .ristoranti tutto a pochi minuti. Passeggiata lungomare vicina porticciolo a due minuti.Mancava qualche accessorio tipo una tovaglietta per la tavola consiglio di aggiungerla, e l'accesso ai cancelli tolta la notte e la mattina non sapevamo come uscire…consiglio di lasciarla almeno fino alle 11 ora di check out.per il resto tutto ok.
