Look, I’ll be straight with you about Apartamento Carmen Aptos Tosca – it’s one of those places that doesn’t try to be fancy, but somehow gets everything right. The address says Calle San Juan 306, which honestly doesn’t sound like much until you realize you’re literally a three-minute walk from Puerto de la Cruz’s main drag and maybe five minutes from Playa Jardín. I mean, you can actually hear the ocean from some of the apartments, which is pretty sweet for a 3-star place.

The building itself has that classic Canarian apartment feel – you know, the kind where locals actually live, not just tourists. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re right in the heart of things. The apartments are proper sized too, not those cramped hotel rooms where you’re tripping over your suitcase every five minutes. The kitchenettes are actually functional (I made coffee every morning and even attempted some basic meals), and the balconies – well, if you get lucky with your room assignment, you might catch glimpses of the Atlantic between the buildings. The Wi-Fi worked fine, which honestly surprised me given how spotty it can be in some of these older Puerto de la Cruz properties.

Here’s what really sold me on the place though – the location is absolutely perfect for exploring the old town. You’re walking distance from the Casa de la Aduana and all those winding cobblestone streets that lead down to the black sand beaches. There’s this little supermarket about two blocks away that the locals use, and I found myself stopping there every evening for fresh bread and those amazing Canarian tomatoes. The staff at Carmen Aptos Tosca seem to know the area inside and out too – they pointed me toward this tiny restaurant tucked away on a side street that I never would’ve found otherwise. Parking can be a bit of a challenge during the day (it’s Puerto de la Cruz, after all), but the evening spots open up pretty reliably. The 8.5 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not trying to be the Ritz, but for what it is, it delivers exactly what you need. If you’re looking for a base to explore Tenerife’s north coast without breaking the bank, and you want to feel like you’re staying somewhere real rather than some tourist bubble, this place hits the mark.

  La zona inmejorable, limpieza genial, buenos muebles. Nos habían dejado unas frutas, galletas y una botella grande de agua. A pesar de haber dejado un largo comentario a continuación sobre lo que no me gustó, recomiendo totalmente este apartamento para estancias cortas como un fin de semana.
  
  What could be improved: Según las imágenes y la descripción, traía ventilador pero no había. Se pasa muchísimo calor. El secador dejaba de funcionar por momentos. No funcionaban los canales de la televisión ni tenía smartv. No estaba la contraseña de la wifi por ningún lado siendo sumamente importante puesto que no hay mucha cobertura en el edificio y la zona en general. Aún con las ventanas cerradas, entra mucho ruido de la calle.

  La localización y lo completo que es con el tamaño que tiene. Nos encantó y repetiremos siempre que podamos.
  
  What could be improved: Me pareció extraño que no habiendo socorrista, no poder disfrutar de las instalaciones después de las 18:00. Pero nada que no se solucionase con ese balcón que teníamos en nuestro apartamento con vistas, disfrutando de un buen refrigerio.

  Todo muy limpio y ordenado, hay de todo!! Cafetera, secador de pelo, plancha, calentador de agua, el armario muy cómodo.. Las camas comodísimas, almohadas perfectas, vistas preciosas! Nos dejaron fruta, galletitas, tes y capsulas de cafés. Comodidad de check in y check out… Piscina en la azotea ideal! Estamos encantadas!!!!

  La ubicación es perfecta, la terracita se agradece muchísimo. tuvimos un pequeño percance al llegar porque el avión se retrasó y no hubo problema. Todo fueron facilidades.. nos encantaron los detallitos que nos habían dejado como café y fruta. Volveremos.
