Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Apartamento Belén on that narrow little street (Callejón Belén, they call it), I wasn’t sure what to expect. The building itself isn’t flashy, but once you get up to apartment 311, you realize you’ve stumbled onto something pretty special. The whole setup feels more like staying at a friend’s well-appointed place than a typical hotel, which honestly made the whole La Laguna experience feel more authentic.

What really got me was how quiet it stays despite being right in the heart of things. I mean, you’re literally walking distance from the cathedral and all those beautiful colonial buildings that make La Laguna worth visiting in the first place, but somehow the street noise just doesn’t penetrate much. The apartment itself has this lived-in comfort that a lot of hotels try to fake – you know what I mean? Real books on the shelves, decent coffee setup, windows that actually open properly. The WiFi worked without me having to call the front desk three times, which is always a win in my book. One thing I appreciated was the shower pressure – sounds trivial, but after a day of wandering around those cobblestone streets, a proper shower hits different.

The location is actually genius if you think about it. Most tourists end up staying in the newer parts of town or down by the coast, but being right in the UNESCO World Heritage zone means you’re walking past 16th-century buildings to grab your morning coffee. There’s this little bakery about two minutes away that locals line up at (I never caught the name, but it’s on the corner where the street curves), and honestly, stumbling onto places like that is half the fun of staying somewhere like this. Parking can be a bit tricky – the streets are narrow and built for horses, not rental cars – but there’s a public lot about a five-minute walk away that’s not too expensive. The whole check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that standing-in-line-at-a-marble-desk nonsense. You get keys, you get clear directions, and you’re sorted. The 8.9 rating makes sense when you add it all up – it’s not trying to be a luxury resort, but it nails everything that actually matters when you’re exploring a place like La Laguna.

  Washing machine and dryer in the apartment, hairdryer, toaster …
  The bed was comfortable, with great pillows.
  Welcoming present in the kitchen and in bedroom.
  Apartment is in the great location.
  
  What could be improved: Maybe the handle in the bathroom shower could be changed, because this one is old.

  A compact apartment on the 3rd floor of a beautiful residential complex. Very centrally placed with lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Easy 10€ taxi transfer from TFN and good comms from owner / agent.

  The apartment was well equipped, with a good shower and comfy beds but the pillows could have been softer than granite.
  
  The kitchen had a microwave oven and twin hot-plate and a reasonable selection of cooking equipment and plates etc.
  Washer drier was a bonus but nowhere really to hang things to dry and air.
  
  Fortunately there were electric heaters in the living space and bedroom because it was cold when we were there in January .
  
  I would recommend the place and would gladly return.

  Csodálatos a környék, a történelmi belváros. A szállásadó rendkívül segítőkész, kedves, barátságos. Az apartman nagyon jól felszerelt, kényelmes. Nagyon elégedettek vagyunk.

  L’appartement de Pedro est très bien situé dans le centre historique malgré cela nous avons pu nous garer dans les rues en contre bas chaque jour. Le contact est très facile pour récupérer les clefs. La résidence est très calme et l’appartement très confortable avec une cuisine très bien équipée pour un séjour. Nous avons regretté de ne pas y avoir séjourné plus longtemps, La Laguna est une ville charmante beaucoup de ruelles piétonnes . Un grand coup de cœur pour cet appartement !
